ULTRASOUND ENDOSCOPE
An ultrasound endoscope comprises an operation portion, an insertion portion coupled to the operation portion, a distal end portion coupled to the insertion portion and including a projecting portion and a distal end body portion, a balloon channel disposed inside the insertion portion and extending from the operation portion to the rigid distal end portion, and a balloon mounting portion between the projecting portion and the distal end body portion. The balloon channel includes a bending portion in the rigid distal end portion and a balloon outlet that is formed at the bending portion and connected to the balloon mounting portion. A cross section of the bending portion includes a first bending angle and a second bending angle, and the first bending angle is smaller than the second bending angle.
Cleaning device for cleaning a scope, laparoscope or microscope used in surgery or other medical procedures and a method of using the device during surgical or other medical procedures
A device and method for cleaning or defogging a surgical scope during minimally-invasive surgery, including a casing which houses a sponge and a heating element configured to be accessible to the surgical scope and the casing is configured to removably attach to a trocar during a surgical procedure.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR IN VIVO CLEANING OF AN OPTICAL LENS OF A SURGICAL VISUALIZATION DEVICE
A surgical device including a shaft having a proximal end and a distal end, a spring extending distally from the distal end of the shaft and curving away from a longitudinal axis of the shaft, and a tip extending from a distal end of the spring, said tip including a body and an attachment surface on the body for attaching an absorbent material thereto, wherein the spring and the body of the tip have a first width, the spring has a thickness substantially smaller than the first width to provide preferential bending in a direction of the curvature of the spring, and the body of the tip has a second thickness, and wherein the surgical device is a cleaning device configured to clean a lens of a surgical visualization device.
ENDOSCOPE AND MOUNTING COMPONENT
Provided are an endoscope and a mounting component which are capable of safely detaching a distal end cap from a distal-end-portion body.
An endoscope includes an operation part that is provided with an operation member; an insertion part that is provided on a distal end side of the operation part and is inserted into an object to be examined; an elevator that is provided in a distal end portion of the insertion part; a distal end cap that is mounted on the distal end portion and has an inner space communicating with a cap opening; an elevating operation wire of which a distal end side is connected to the elevator and which is pushed and pulled in response to operation of the operation member to operate the elevator; a wire channel through which the elevating operation wire is inserted; and a mounting component that is attachably and detachably mounted on the operation part, in which the mounting component has a wire fixing section that mechanically connects the operation member and the elevating operation wire to each other, and a jig section capable of detaching the distal end cap from the distal end portion.
ENDOSCOPE CLEANER OPERABLE TO BE COUPLED TO A TROCAR
Endoscope or camera cleaning device having a jaw extending away from a tube. Sheath extends away from the tube. Sheath has sidewalls corresponding to another portion of the circumference of the tube and the sidewalls of the sheath and the sidewalls of the jaw being biased towards each other through at least one elastic member. Slider is coupled to the jaw and operable to translate with respect to the jaw. Wiper blade is coupled to the slider. Wiper blade has a lower edge that extends away from the jaw and extends beyond a centerline with respect to the tube. Wiper blade is operable to be engaged by a camera traversing through the attachment tube. Wiper blade crosses the centerline and allows the camera to pass beyond the wiper, which is operable to remove fluids and/or substances from the endoscope or camera.
Surgical access device
The present invention generally provides methods and devices for removing fluid from a surgical instrument. Surgical access devices and seal systems are generally provided having one or more valves or seal assemblies to create a closed system between the outside environment and the environment in which the surgical access device is being inserted. The devices of systems can also include a fluid remover in the form of a sorbent element, a scraper element, a wicking element, or any combination thereof that is configured to remove fluid from a working channel of the device or system and/or from a surgical instrument inserted therethrough.
Surgical Accessory and Methods of Using the Same
A minimally invasive device for cleaning surgical instruments includes a rod having first and second ends. A first sponge assembly is fitted about the first end of the rod, the first sponge assembly including a first conical trailing surface, a first cleaning surface and a first leading surface. A first sheath extends over a portion of the first conical trailing surface and terminates on the first conical trailing surface. A second sponge assembly fits about the second end of the rod, the second sponge assembly including a second conical trailing surface, a second cleaning surface and a second leading surface. A second sheath extends over a portion of the second conical trailing surface and terminates on the second conical trailing surface.
Apparatus and method for in vivo cleaning of an optical lens of a surgical visualization device
A surgical device comprising a shaft having a proximal end and a distal end, a spring extending from the distal end of the shaft and curving away from a longitudinal axis of the shaft, the spring having a predetermined width and a thickness substantially smaller than the predetermined width to provide preferential bending in a direction of the curvature of the spring, and a tip extending from a distal end of the spring, said tip including an attachment surface for attaching an absorbent material thereto.
ENDOSCOPE CLEANING DEVICE
A device for cleaning a medical scope includes a container, a first tube, a second tube, a first nozzle, and a second nozzle. The container is configured to receive a first portion of the medical scope. The first tube and a second tube are configured to supply a liquid into the container for cleaning the first portion of the medical scope. Each tube is partially positioned within the container. A first nozzle is positioned at a first end of the first tube, and is configured to direct the liquid to a first crevice near an elevator of the medical scope. The second nozzle is positioned at a first end of the second tube, and is configured to direct the liquid to a second crevice near the elevator of the medical scope.
