20210212559 · 2021-07-15 ·

An apparatus and method for reprocessing a medical device includes a decontamination basin, a first flush conduit, a second flush conduit, and a manifold. The first and second flush conduits have respective first and second coupling ports configured to fluidly connect to the medical device positioned within the decontamination basin. The manifold is fluidly connected to the first and second flush conduits and configured to distribute the fluid received therein accordingly. The apparatus also includes a first valve, a second valve, and a primary pump configured to discharge the fluid into the manifold at a predetermined supply flow rate. The first and second valve are positioned respectively in the first and second flush conduits for balancing the respective flow rates discharged therefrom at a first predetermined conduit flow rate and a second predetermined conduit flow rate.

Point of Use Cleaning System for Endoscopes

The invention includes devices, arrangements and methods for treating an endoscope after use to prevent adhesion of bioburden on internal walls of a lumen of the endoscope. After treatment, the device is stored in the treated condition until cleaning. The device is configured to selectively deliver cleaning solution to the endoscope. The device can be a circulating embodiment having a pump. A filter can be provided to filter debris during circulation. The device can be a non-circulating embodiment having a hydrophobic filter for release of air. Fittings are provided on the device components to selectively attach the device to endoscopes.

Device for testing the leakproofness of a surgical instrument, reprocessing device for reprocessing surgical instruments, and use of a swellable material body

A connecting device through which a gas can flow, for connecting a port of a surgical instrument to a reprocessing device for cleaning the surgical instrument, the connecting device including: a self-actuating valve with a swellable material body.

Endoscope cleaning station having leak tester and high-pressure port

An endoscope cleaning station for cleaning an endoscope includes a sink having an inlet connected to a water supply for filling the sink and a drain for draining the sink, a fill solenoid for controlling a flow of water to the inlet of the sink, a detergent pump and detergent valve that cooperate to selectively dispense detergent into another flow of water thus creating a detergent solution, a manifold for injecting the detergent solution into the endoscope, a lumen solenoid for controlling the flow of the detergent solution to the manifold, a pressure regulator disposed downstream of the lumen solenoid and upstream of the manifold to reduce a pressure of the detergent solution delivered to the manifold, and a high-pressure port connected to a narrow channel of the endoscope, the high-pressure port receiving the detergent solution that bypasses the pressure regulator so that the detergent solution exiting the high-pressure port into the narrow channel has a higher pressure than the pressure of the detergent solution delivered to the manifold.

Pre-cleaning system for flexible endoscopes: bath and method

An apparatus and method for pre-cleaning or cleaning of objects such as medical, surgical and endoscope devices especially having lumens or channels are described of a sink for holding cleaning liquid. The PLC and software controls operators, doctors, patients and instruments through every step during the procedure which includes integrated leak test automatically, integrated channel rinsing, integrated camera, automatic brush control and endoscope layers with lift system.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR STERILIZING ENDOSCOPES
20210187141 · 2021-06-24 ·

A method for the sterilization of endoscopes and similar instruments, comprising the following steps of: washing and/or disinfecting or sterilizing an endoscope in a container by one or more washing fluids; dry the endoscope inside the container using one or more drying fluids. The method is characterized by the fact that the pressure inside the container during disinfection or sterilization and/or drying is kept lower than atmospheric pressure and the container is pressurized after drying, at a pressure higher than at atmospheric pressure, before releasing the endoscope.

SUSPENSION CLEANING

A method of cleaning a contaminated surface, such as cleaning the elongate interior lumen of an endo scope contaminated with flesh, bone, blood, mucous, faeces or biofilm, said method comprising the steps of: providing a suspension of solid particles in a liquid to said contaminated surface, and flowing said suspension along said surface thereby to remove contaminant from the surface. The suspension is preferably a paste, where the solid material may be e.g. crystals of a salt, silicon oxide or organic material. The paste preferably has a solid fraction between 5 and 55%. A rheology modifier may be present.

PREPARING AND/OR CARING FOR A MEDICAL OR DENTAL INSTRUMENT

A method for preparing and/or caring for a medical or dental instrument is defined in that the instrument jointly with a connection adapter is first connected to a first preparation and/or care device and subsequently to a second preparation and/or care device. Furthermore, a coupling device is described which is configured to connect a preparation and/or care device for a medical or dental instrument to a connection adapter. A plug-in coupling arrangement and a system are also disclosed.
