VIRTUAL REALITY-BASED PORTABLE NYSTAGMOGRAPHY DEVICE AND DIAGNOSTIC TEST METHOD USING SAME
There is provided a VR-based portable nystagmus test apparatus that provides both a three-dimensional stereoscopic image and a voice to a subject such that efficiency and accuracy of a follow-up examination can be enhanced. The VR-based portable nystagmus test apparatus can enhance the accuracy and efficiency of an examination by inducing the subject to make a correct motion, during the examination on the subject who wears the VR-based portable nystagmus test apparatus.
VISION SCREENING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A system includes system housing, an eccentric radiation source, and a radiation sensor. The radiation produced by the eccentric radiation source can be collected by the radiation sensor to generate images of retinas for a patient. The system also includes a vision screening device connected with the eccentric radiation source and the radiation sensor via the system house that can control and synchronize actions for the eccentric radiation source and the radiation sensor. The vision screening device further analyzes the images generated by the radiation sensor via neural network algorithms to determine spherical error slopes, refractive errors, and recommendations for the patient.
METHODS, APPARATUS, AND SYSTEMS FOR OPHTHALMIC TESTING AND MEASUREMENT
Methods, apparatus, and systems for performing an ophthalmic diagnostic test are disclosed. In one aspect, a head-wearable device for administering an ophthalmic test to a subject can comprise a head-wearable frame for mounting the device onto the subject's head, and a light seal configured for coupling to the frame so as to isolate at least one eye of the subject from ambient light when the device is worn by the subject.
Methods and systems for diagnosing and treating health ailments
Configurations are disclosed for a health system to be used in various healthcare applications, e.g., for patient diagnostics, monitoring, and/or therapy. The health system may comprise a light generation module to transmit light or an image to a user, one or more sensors to detect a physiological parameter of the user's body, including their eyes, and processing circuitry to analyze an input received in response to the presented images to determine one or more health conditions or defects.
VISUAL FIELD EXAMINATION METHOD AND SYSTEM BASED ON VIRTUAL REALITY
A method for virtual reality-based visual field inspection according to an embodiment is a method that performs a visual field inspection on a head-mounted display. The method includes: outputting a background including a background image and a focus point image; outputting an indicator on the background; and sensing user input from an examinee according to output of the indicator.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR GUIDING A TEST SUBJECT THROUGH AN OPHTHALMIC TEST
Methods, apparatus, and systems for performing an ophthalmic diagnostic test are disclosed. In one aspect, a head-wearable device for administering an ophthalmic test to a subject can comprise a head-wearable frame for mounting the device onto the subject's head, and a light seal configured for coupling to the frame so as to isolate at least one eye of the subject from ambient light when the device is worn by the subject.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR VISION TESTING
A vision testing device includes a light-occluding casing for administering vision tests. A viewing station is coupled to the light-occluding casing so a test subject can see a first digital display housed within the light-occluding casing. A second digital display is external to the light-occluding casing and is configured to receive touch-based input. One or more predetermined vision tests are displayed via the first digital display. The second digital display receives input corresponding to the vision test displayed via the first digital display. The second digital display includes response indicators that can be activated via a swiping motion on the second digital display, and a response is recorded as a result of the swiping motion. Each answer corresponding to a swiping motion is stored and output as a result of the vision test.
AUGMENTED AND VIRTUAL REALITY DISPLAY SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DIAGNOSING HEALTH CONDITIONS BASED ON VISUAL FIELDS
Retinal cellscope apparatus
A portable retinal imaging device for imaging the fundus of the eye. The device includes an ocular imaging device containing ocular lensing and filters, a fixation display, and a light source, and is configured for coupling to a mobile device containing a camera, display, and application programming for controlling retinal imaging. The light source is configured for generating a sustained low intensity light (e.g., IR wavelength) during preview, followed by a light flash during image capture. The ocular imaging device works in concert with application programming on the mobile device to control subject gaze through using a fixation target when capturing retinal imaging on the mobile device, which are then stitched together using imaging processing into an image having a larger field of view.
Method, System and Apparatus for Diagnostic Assessment and Screening of Binocular Dysfunctions
Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure relate to systems, methods, and apparatus to objectively assess binocular dysfunction for screening, diagnoses, and evaluation of vision/oculomotor function before, during, and after various forms of therapeutic interventions. Systems and methods of the present disclosure diagnose and assess binocular dysfunction objectively and automatically, can render a visual stimulus on one or more displays, and can control accommodative and proximal vergence stimulation of a user's eyes.
