System and method for determining corrective vision
A system and method for assessing optical corrective needs of a patient. The system includes a computer system including a processor adapted to run at least a refractive software application thereon, an input device in communication with said processor and adapted to receive input from a user, and a displace device in communication with said processor and adapted to display information, and refractive eyewear including electrically adjustable left and right lenses selectively controllable to adjust at least a sphere power of the respective lenses and in communication with the processor. The refractive software application receives input from the input device and the eyewear controller, and selectively adjusts the sphere power of the left and right lenses, controls information displayed on said display device, and stores information regarding the sphere power of the respective left and right lenses.
Methods and systems for performing slit lamp examination
Configurations are disclosed for a health system to be used in various healthcare applications, e.g., for patient diagnostics, monitoring, and/or therapy. The health system may comprise a light generation module to transmit light or an image to a user, one or more sensors to detect a physiological parameter of the user's body, including their eyes, and processing circuitry to analyze an input received in response to the presented images to determine one or more health conditions or defects.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR UPDATING REFRACTIVE PRESCRIPTIONS AND DELIVERING EYEGLASSES AND CONTACT LENSES
Methods and systems for producing a refractive prescription for a consumer away from an optical office are disclosed. At a first time point, a first prescription for a first pair of corrective lenses is generated according to measured refractive errors, and a historical visual acuity profile is measured using the first prescription and a varying spherical power. At a second time point, a second visual acuity is measured using the first prescription. A new spherical power is computed using the historical visual acuity profile and the second visual acuity. A second prescription for a second pair of corrective lenses is generated based on the first prescription and the new spherical power. In some embodiments, the second visual acuity may be self-administered by the consumer away from an optical office.
Methods and systems for providing wavefront corrections for treating conditions including myopia, hyperopia, and/or astigmatism
Methods and systems for performing two-photon microscopy
Configurations are disclosed for a health system to be used in various healthcare applications, e.g., for patient diagnostics, monitoring, and/or therapy. The health system may comprise a light generation module to transmit light or an image to a user, one or more sensors to detect a physiological parameter of the user's body, including their eyes, and processing circuitry to analyze an input received in response to the presented images to determine one or more health conditions or defects.
Methods and systems for diagnosing and treating presbyopia
Configurations are disclosed for a health system to be used in various healthcare applications, e.g., for patient diagnostics, monitoring, and/or therapy. The health system may comprise a light generation module to transmit light or an image to a user, one or more sensors to detect a physiological parameter of the user's body, including their eyes, and processing circuitry to analyze an input received in response to the presented images to determine one or more health conditions or defects.
Tunable-Lens-Based Refractive Examination
An apparatus, and corresponding method, for determining a refractive property of an eye includes a housing with a port configured to receive an eye and also light from the eye. A tunable lens can be mounted to the housing to apply a variable focal power to the light from the eye and to pass the light along an optical path toward a wavefront sensor within the housing. The wavefront sensor can receive the light via the optical path and measure a wavefront thereof. A determination module can be configured to determine a property of the eye based on the wavefront. Embodiments can be handheld, portable, and open view, while providing objective wavefront aberrometry, subjective phoroptry, and accommodation and presbyoptic evaluation, as well as lensometry functions.
Methods and systems for performing optical coherence tomography
Configurations are disclosed for a health system to be used in various healthcare applications, e.g., for patient diagnostics, monitoring, and/or therapy. The health system may comprise a light generation module to transmit light or an image to a user, one or more sensors to detect a physiological parameter of the user's body, including their eyes, and processing circuitry to analyze an input received in response to the presented images to determine one or more health conditions or defects.
Methods and systems for determining refractive corrections of human eyes for eyeglasses
Methods, devices, and systems are disclosed for determining refractive corrections of human eyes to reduce and eliminate image distortion associated with eyeglasses. In some embodiments, an objective refraction module is configured to measure refractive errors of an eye objectively, without subjective feedback from a tested subject. A computation module is configured to generate a plurality of objective prescriptions. A phoropter module is configured to perform a subjective refraction for determining a plurality of subjective spherical powers based on the plurality of objective prescriptions. An output module is configured to generate a plurality of prescriptions for eyeglasses, the plurality of prescriptions comprising (a) a first prescription having a first subjective spherical power f.sub.s1, a first objective cylinder power F.sub.c1, and a first objective cylinder angle F.sub.a1, and (b) a second prescription having a second subjective spherical power f.sub.s2, a second objective cylinder power F.sub.c2, and a second objective cylinder angle F.sub.a2.
