The present disclosure relates generally to systems and methods for testing and determining a corrective lens prescription for a patient. In an example embodiment, a method includes receiving, in a remote device, a link to enable a patient to launch an interface on the remote device for interacting with a patient terminal in a hand held manner. The interacting includes receiving instructions from a server and enabling the patient to make at least one input to the server via the remote device over a communication interface to control the first computerized screen from a distance. The method also includes displaying a figure on the first computerized screen and enabling the patient to make a least one input via the remote device to change a size of the figure. The input corresponds to a sphere measurement of the patient.
