Ingress Protection Assembly for a Utility Meter and Meter Arrangement Comprising Same
An ingress protection assembly for leading a wire, such as a signal and/or a supply line, through a partition wall of an electrical device is provided. The ingress protection assembly includes a first wall section provided with a receiving slot extending through the first wall section in a lead-through direction and opening at an inlet facing in an assembly direction of the ingress protection assembly; and a second wall section provided with a counter slot extending through the second wall section in the lead-through direction and opening at a counter inlet facing against the assembly direction, wherein at least in a fully assembled state of the ingress protection assembly, the first wall section and the second wall section are at least partially superimposed in a projection along the lead-through direction such that the receiving slot and the counter slot together form an aperture configured for tightly encompassing the wire.
MULTI-METER ENERGY ALLOCATION SYSTEM WITH NO BACK FEED
A power generation allocation and measurement device has an inverter assignment matrix fed by one or more inverter load controllers, the controllers connected to respective inverters. The device includes multiple unit controllers associated with respective metered distribution panels of a multi-unit or multi-panel power installation. A group controller is in communication with each unit controller and the inverter assignment matrix. The device is fed by a power generator such as a photovoltaic panel. The device allocates power to the metered distribution panels via the group controller, based on feedback from the discrete unit controllers.
Meter-Based Transfer Switch with Lockout
An intermediate disconnect section includes a utility power breaker and an alternate power breaker. A switching mechanism opens and closes the utility power breaker and the alternate power breaker, so as to be in one of a first, second or third state. The utility power breaker is closed and the alternate power breaker is open while in the first state. The utility power breaker is open and the alternate power breaker is closed while in the second state. The utility power breaker is open and the alternate power breaker is open while in the third state.
SMART ENERGY METER HOUSING
A meter case used with a utility meter is disclosed. The meter shell includes a plurality of snap fit joints assembled on the meter case arranged to engage a module cover to mount the module cover to the meter shell. The module cover further includes wire housing formed along an inner periphery of the module cover that houses a wire having a first end and a second end therein. A metal shield placed behind the meter shell is electrically coupled to a first connector. A terminal electrically connected to the metal shield is arranged to discharge current to ground. An electrical contact electrically coupled to the second end of the wire is arranged to engage the first connector to establish an electrical connection to the metal shield for the discharge to ground of electrostatic currents sensed by wire.
Utility cover for use with automated metering equipment
A utility cover assembly includes a base unit made at least partially from a first material, a cover made at least partially from a second material capable of acting as a tuning plate for electromagnetic energy and an insert ring made at least partially from a third material and arranged between the base unit and the cover.
Utility Meter Pedestal for Providing Pre-Construction Power from Underground Service
An electric utility meter pedestal with provision for providing pre-construction power from underground service comprising an elongate support for a double compartment meter housing the upper portion of which accommodates a standard utility meter and the lower portion of which provides secure access to a pre-construction 110-volt duplex outlet and a breaker switch for that outlet. Access to the duplex outlet is made secure by virtue of an outer cover panel which can be put in place to fully cover and limit access to the outlet after the construction of the building has been complete. The 20 amp duplex outlet therefore provides 110 volt 20 amp service to workmen using tools during the construction phase as well as a convenient outdoor outlet for the homeowner after construction is complete.
WATT-HOUR METER BLADE
A watt-hour meter block adapter assembly includes a housing. The watt-hour meter block adapter assembly includes a blade supported by the housing. The blade includes a blade end and a jaw end. The blade includes a middle portion that extends from the blade end to the jaw end. The middle portion and blade end are rectangular in cross-section. An area of the rectangular cross-sectional area of the middle portion is greater than an area of the rectangular cross-sectional area of the blade end.
ELECTRIC METER COLLAR ADAPTOR TO DIVERT POWER TO DISTRIBUTED POWER GENERATION RESOURCES
A meter collar is an adapter that may be inserted between a meter socket box and the meter. The meter collar may include a housing that is provided with first contacts to facilitate a mechanical and electrical connection with utility-side contacts of the meter socket box and second contacts to facilitate a mechanical and electrical connection with customer-side contacts of the meter socket box.
ADAPTER FOR AN ENERGY METER AND ENERGY MEASUREMENT DEVICE
An adapter for an energy meter, has a voltage converter, at least two first electrical terminals for connecting to respective conductors of a power network and at least two second electrical terminals to which an energy meter can be electrically connected. The voltage converter is electrically connected to the at least two first electrical terminals and the at least two second terminals and converts a first voltage, which can be applied to the at least two first electrical terminals, into a lower second voltage that is applied to the at least two second electrical terminals, where the voltage ratio between the first and the second voltage is predetermined and can be stored in an energy meter. There is a first distance between the at least two first electrical terminals that is greater than a second distance between the at least two second electrical terminals.
POWER DISCONNECT SYSTEM AND METHOD
The systems and methods herein described isolating a circuit breaker panel for a building from a grid circuit during an event disrupting the grid circuit. In one aspect, a interrupt switch system comprises a housing configured to mate with an electric meter socket on a first side and an electric meter on a second side, the housing comprising power inputs from grid power and power outputs to a circuit breaker panel and an interrupt circuit disposed within the housing and configured to interrupt a flow of electricity from the power inputs to the power outputs.
