System and method of measuring the frequency of a radio frequency signal
A frequency measurement system and method of a radio frequency (RF) signal. The frequency measurement system includes: a magnetic field source module, a light source module, an excitation module, a complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) camera, and a signal processing module; the excitation module is disposed in the magnetic field; the excitation module is disposed on an output light path of the light source module; the CMOS camera is disposed on an output light path of the excitation module; and the CMOS camera is connected to the signal processing module; the light source module is configured to emit a laser; the CMOS camera is configured to capture an excitation image when the laser enters the excitation module to which a to-be-tested RF signal is applied; and the signal processing module is configured to determine a frequency of the to-be-tested RF signal according to the excitation image.
Method and Apparatus for Noninvasive Determination of Utilization
An electromagnetic apparatus (EMA) for measuring electromagnetic properties of an electrical conductor such as a power cord is provided. Methods of using the EMA are also provided. The EMA includes a plurality of electromagnetic sensors (EMSs) disposed in an array along a length and a width of the EMA. The EMA further includes circuitry such as a microprocessor, communication circuitry, and power circuitry. The circuitry is in electrical communication with the EMSs.
Multi-panel base station test system
A multi-panel base station test system includes a base station radio unit configured with a plurality of antenna panels positioned at a first end of a test chamber of the multi-panel base station test system. The multi-panel base station test system includes a plurality of test antennas positioned at a second end of the test chamber opposing the first end. The multi-panel base station test system includes a microwave lens positioned between the plurality of antenna panels and the plurality of test antennas in the test chamber. The microwave lens is configured to focus respective beams transmitted from each of the plurality of antenna panels toward respective focal points associated with each of the plurality of test antennas based on steering of the plurality of antenna panels.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANAGEMENT OF ELECTRIC GRID
A system and a method for management of an electric grid. The system includes at least one monitoring server and at least one grid monitoring sensor communicably coupled to the at least one monitoring server. Herein the given grid monitoring sensor is installed to a given electrical utility pole of the electric grid. Each of the at least one grid monitoring sensor includes a magnetic sensor for measuring a time-variant magnetic field induced by current transients in the electric grid.
DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM FOR ELECTRIC POWER EQUIPMENT
An electric power equipment comprises: a display module; a sensor module for outputting measurement data including a first noise signal measured from inside of the electric power equipment, a second noise signal measured from outside of the electric power equipment, a temperature signal of the electric power equipment, and a humidity signal of the electric power equipment; and a control module for diagnosing whether a partial discharge has occurred based on the measurement data, wherein the control module includes: a determination unit for determining whether a signal magnitude of the first noise signal is within a preset first reference range; an analysis unit for diagnosing an occurrence of the partial discharge, and for analyzing the signals according to the analysis algorithm; and a control unit for controlling a result information of the analyzing, and a maintenance and repair information, to be displayed.
Electric potential and electric field mapping system
An electrical field mapping system with an improved measurement and recording method which enables students to produce an electric field map of equipotential lines and electric field vectors. Measurements of an electric potential point and an electric field vector may be made by a three-probe sensor with pointer and displayed on voltmeters. An angular scale below the pointer may assist to measure the direction of the electric field. An X-Y transfer mechanism transfers the location of the three-probe sensor, from the space around electrodes, to a marker at a corresponding location in the recording area. Recordings of the field data are made by markers with different impressions and may include an electric field vector, equipotential line segment, and electric potential point.
RF SIGNAL DETECTION AND IDENTIFICATION DEVICE
An RF signal detection device, including: a first threshold crossing detection circuit comprising an input coupled to an input of the RF signal detection device; a first energy detection circuit comprising an input coupled to the input of the RF signal detection device; a second threshold crossing detection circuit comprising an input coupled to an output of the first energy detection circuit; and further including a control circuit configured to: carry out, by the first threshold crossing detection circuit, detection of at least a first threshold crossing frequency in a predetermined RF frequency band; and carry out, by the first energy detection circuit, energy detection in the predetermined RF frequency band; and carry out, by the second threshold crossing detection circuit, detection of at least a second threshold crossing frequency of a first energy signal delivered as an output from the first energy detection circuit; and determine, at least from the first and second threshold crossing frequencies and the first energy signal, whether a single RF signal is present in the RF frequency band.
Method for radio measuring applications
A method for radio measuring applications, wherein at least a first radio node operates as an initiator and at least a second radio node as a transponder, in a first step a first carrier frequency is transmitted by the initiator as an initial signal and received by the transponder. In a second step a response signal with a second carrier frequency is transmitted by the transponder and received by the initiator, during a measurement cycle at least one step sequence of the first and the second step is performed. First the first steps of all sequence of steps and subsequently at least a portion of the second steps of the step sequences are performed in succession, the first carrier frequency assumes a value within a predetermined frequency domain for each repetition, and the initial signals and the response signals are mutually coherent at least within the measurement cycle.
Advance manufacturing monitoring and diagnostic tool
A device and a method for monitoring and analysis utilize unintended electromagnetic emissions of electrically powered components, devices or systems. The emissions are received at the antenna and a receiver. A processor processes and measures change or changes in a signature of the unintended electromagnetic emissions. The measurement are analyzed to both record a baseline score for future measurements and to be used in determining status and/or health of the analyzed system or component.
DETECTION OF ULTRA WIDE BAND SIGNAL
A device for the detection of an ultra wide band signal, including a signal reception circuit, a signal divider circuit to divide the received signal into several frequency sub-bands, a circuit to determine the amplitude and duration of the received signal in each frequency sub-band, a circuit to compare the amplitude of the signal received in each frequency sub-band with an amplitude threshold, a circuit to compare the duration of the signal received in each frequency sub-band with a time threshold, and a decision circuit that determines that the received signal is of the ultra wide band type if the amplitude of the signal received in each frequency sub-band is higher than the amplitude threshold and if the duration of the signal received in each frequency sub-band is less than the time threshold.
