BATTERY MONITOR SYSTEM
A battery monitor system includes: a reference signal generation unit; an excitation signal generation unit; a current generation unit for an excitation current; a current measurement unit for the excitation current; a voltage measurement unit for a voltage of each battery cell; an impedance measurement unit for an impedance of each battery cell; a noise measurement unit for a noise voltage; and a control unit. The control unit selects one or more battery cells not a measurement target, and the noise measurement unit measures the noise voltage near a measurement frequency equal to a frequency of an orthogonal reference signal while operating the voltage measurement unit without operating the current generation unit.
Battery methods for use with telematics
Vehicles can employ onboard telematic monitoring devices to collect vehicle and operation data, such as for improved vehicle fleet management. Such telematic monitoring devices are dependent on power from a vehicle, such that data collection and communication can be interrupted if a telematic monitoring device is disconnected or has a poor connection. The present disclosure relates to battery devices, which provide power to telematic monitoring devices as needed in order to maintain data collection and communication, or other more limited functionality. The present disclosure also relates to systems including battery devices, and methods for operating battery devices. The present disclosure also relates to detecting temperature of batteries, as well as emergency input and messages for telematic monitoring systems.
Automotive Controller Testing
Disclosed is a testing device for an automotive controller, which includes a plurality of Device Under Test (DUT) lines for connection to respective DUT lines in the automotive controller, and first and second multiplexers for selecting individual DUT lines. First and second measurement modules are connected to the multiplexers for measuring signal characteristics on the selected DUT lines. An interconnect circuit is operable for selectively connecting stimulation modules to the measurement modules for stimulating electrical signals on the selected DUT lines. A controller is provided to control the switching of the multiplexers and the interconnect circuit and for receiving the measured signal characteristics from the first and second measurement modules for testing the respective DUT lines in the automotive controller. Also disclosed are methods and software for controlling testing devices.
CURRENT SUPERVISORY DEVICE
The present invention relates to a current sensor device comprising: current sensing means for sensing a current, a circuit arranged to convert a signal received from the current sensing means into a signal indicative of the sensed current, storage means for storing a plurality of values of the signal indicative of the sensed current, a processing circuit arranged for receiving a subset of the plurality of values stored in the storage means, for detecting or predicting an event based on a function of the subset, said function being stored in the storage means, and for generating a corresponding event signal, said current supervisory device further comprising an interface circuit arranged to output the corresponding event signal.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR INDIRECTLY MONITORING AN ISOLATION RESISTANCE OF ONE OR MORE FUEL CELLS
Systems and methods for monitoring the isolation resistance of one or more fuel cells are described herein. In one example, a system includes a current transformer having a hollow core. First and second portions of a load line from a fuel cell are located within the hollow core. The first portion of the load line is electrically between an anode of a fuel cell and an electrical load, while the second portion of the load line being electrically between a cathode of the fuel cell and the electrical load. The current transformer is configured to output an electrical signal proportional to a current passing through the hollow core. This electrical signal can then be used to determine the isolation resistance of the fuel cell.
System and method for anomaly detection and total capacity estimation of a battery
The battery monitoring techniques described herein may be used for detection of battery anomalies or faults. Also, the battery monitoring techniques described herein may be used to generate estimates of total battery capacity. The battery monitoring techniques may employ an alternating current frequency response (ACFR) of the battery. The ACFR response of the battery may be used to detect anomalies and/or estimate a total capacity of the battery.
Power source control system for vehicle
A power source control system for a vehicle is provided, which includes a traction motor, the system including a first battery that is a bipolar battery and is to be used as a power source for the traction motor; a second battery that is a bipolar battery different from the first battery; a mirror current generator circuit configured to generate a mirror current based on a current flowing through the first battery; a mirror current supply source circuit configured to cause the mirror current to flow through the second battery; and a diagnostic circuit configured to perform degradation diagnosis on the second battery on a basis of at least one of a voltage or a temperature of the second battery.
METHOD TO DETERMINE FUSE HEALTH
A method of monitoring a fuse of a work machine includes sensing a fuse current; detecting when the fuse current exceeds a threshold; quantifying a difference current that is a difference between the fuse current and the threshold current when the fuse current exceeds the threshold current; determining an amount of time that the difference current is greater than zero; and generating an alert related to fuse lifetime according to the difference current and determined time.
DETERIORATION DIAGNOSIS DEVICE
Even when parts having individual differences among identical parts or differences in deterioration speed between parts, or a part that does not have a non-volatile memory such as an EEPROM in a chip of the part itself, are mixed, there is no deterioration diagnosis device that can appropriately diagnose a state of deterioration due to temporal change or the like, because of which a mechanism (correction methodology) for evaluating and correcting deterioration in the precision or performance of an electronic part that has low precision or considerable temporal deterioration, and does not have a correction function, is incorporated in a deterioration diagnosis device, and a deterioration state is diagnosed using incorporated deterioration determination means when using a product after shipping.
