COMPUTER-IMPLEMENTED METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR INTERACTIVELY MEASURING OCULAR REFRACTIVE ERRORS, ADDITION AND POWER OF READING GLASSES
A system and method for interactively measuring ocular refractive errors, addition and power of reading glasses without the need of an optical component that would change optical vergence of a target. The system can measure the distance from a user's eyes to either or both border of interval of clear vision, for one orientation or two perpendicular orientations. The measurements together with the user's age can be used to estimate sphero-cylindrical refraction, addition and power of reading glasses. The system can use different sizes, directions and colors of targets which can change with said distance or user interaction.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR MAKING A DETERMINATION ABOUT AN EYE
Disclosed herein are methods and apparatus for making a determination about an eye comprising detecting light reflected out of an eye of a subject from a retina of the eye of the subject and making a determination about the eye of the subject based upon the reflected light.
Device and method for displaying the axis of astigmatism of an eye
The invention relates to a device and a method for displaying the axis of astigmatism of an eye, in which an observation unit is used to observe the eye and, using a display unit, the orientation of the axis of astigmatism of the eye is displayed. A sensor unit generates sensor data which indicate a modification to the alignment of the observation unit relative to the eye. A calculation unit updates the displayed orientation of the axis of astigmatism with the aid of the sensor data, and issues it as the current orientation of the display unit.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR MAKING A DETERMINATION ABOUT AN EYE IN AMBIENT LIGHTING CONDITIONS
Disclosed herein are methods and apparatus for making a determination about an eye in ambient lighting conditions comprising detecting ambient light reflected out of an eye of a subject from a retina of the eye of the subject and making a determination about the eye of the subject based upon the reflected ambient light.
Method and system for generating a retail experience using an augmented reality system
An augmented reality AR system and method for a retail experience include a waveguide apparatus that includes a planar waveguide and at least one optical diffraction element The AR retail system and method recognizes user location in a retail establishment, retrieves data corresponding to the retail establishment and generates virtual content relating to the retail establishment based on the retrieved data. The AR retail system and method creates a virtual user interface in a user's field of view. Virtual content is displayed on the virtual user interface while the user is engaged in retail activity and may be based on user input. The AR retail system and method may provide entertainment, facilitate the shopping experience, offer virtual coupons, render games based on locations throughout a store or based on a shopping list, provide information about food choices such as calorie counts, and identify metadata associated with items.

OPHTHALMOLOGIC APPARATUS
An ophthalmologic apparatus includes an objective measurement optical system that is configured to objectively measure eye characteristics of a subject eye; an optotype projection system that is configured to present a fixation target to the subject eye at a predetermined presentation position and apply fog to the subject eye; and a controller that is configured to control the objective measurement optical system and optotype projection system. The controller is further configured to objectively measure the eye characteristics over time by changing a presentation position of the fixation target from the predetermined presentation position in a direction to increase an amount of fog and presenting the fixation target.
Augmented and virtual reality display systems and methods for diagnosing health conditions based on visual fields
Configurations are disclosed for a health system to be used in various healthcare applications, e.g., for patient diagnostics, monitoring, and/or therapy. The health system may comprise a light generation module to transmit light or an image to a user, one or more sensors to detect a physiological parameter of the user's body, including their eyes, and processing circuitry to analyze an input received in response to the presented images to determine one or more health conditions or defects.

Method for measuring anomalies of refraction using a reflection image of pupil in visible light
Disclosed is a method of measuring a refractive error using a reflection image of a pupil for a visible ray, the method capable of diagnosing and self-examining a refractive error using only an image captured by a smartphone camera. The method may include obtaining an image by projecting a visible ray, using a flash, onto the retina of a subject and capturing, using a smartphone camera, a shape and location of the image reflected in the pupil of the subject, applying the image to a residual neural network (ResNet) model trained using data of an ImageNet based on clinical information into which result values of a refractive error of the subjects have been incorporated, and outputting the refractive error of the image and a measurement factor measured to determine the refractive error based on the shape and the location reflected in the pupil in a process of deriving the refractive error of the image.
