Electrical switching device and method for detecting associated wear
An electrical switching device including an input connection land, an output connection land, and a connection member that is capable of switching between a closed position allowing an electric current to flow between the input and output connection lands and an open position preventing the flow of the current between the input and output connection lands. The electrical switching device includes an accelerometer that is capable of measuring a component of an acceleration of the switching device when switching the connection member between the closed and open positions and a control configured to estimate, on the basis of an acceleration measurement signal delivered by the accelerometer, a duration of switching of the connection member between the closed and open positions, and to determine wear on the switching device on the basis of the estimated switching duration.
Detection circuit and method
The present disclosure discloses a detection circuit and method. The detection circuit comprises: a controller, a battery pack, a main positive switch module, a main negative switch module and at least one detection loop. The controller collects voltages of a positive electrode and a negative electrode of the battery pack and a voltage between external sides of the main positive switch module and the main negative switch module when turning on the main positive or negative switch module and after turning on any detection loop, and obtains resistance values of insulation resistors of the external sides according to resistance values of insulation resistors of internal sides of the main positive and negative switch module, as well as the voltages of the positive electrode and the negative electrode and the voltage between the external sides of the main positive switch module and the main negative switch module, which are collected twice.
TEST BLOCK WITH INPUT AND OUTPUT SOCKETS OF THE RJ45 TYPE
The invention relates to a test block intended to be implanted in the circuit connecting an apparatus to be tested such as an electricity meter or a protective relay and a power source supplying the apparatus to be tested such as an intensity sensor and/or a voltage sensor. The test block comprises a base including a plurality of inner electric circuits capable of allowing the transmission of information from the power source to the apparatus to be tested and a protective cover intended to be assembled in a dismountable manner with the base in order to form a closed enclosure in which the inner electric circuits are housed. The base and the protective cover are configured such that the removal of the protective cover gives access to a receiving site delimited by the base and capable of receiving by plugging a test plug independent of the test block and electrically linked to a test equipment, in particular a voltmeter and/or an ammeter and/or a dummy current source. A test appliance is also described.
TEST BLOCK WITH FARADAY CAGE
There is described a test block intended to be implanted in the circuit connecting an apparatus to be tested such as an electricity meter or a protective relay and a power source supplying the apparatus to be tested such as an intensity sensor and/or a voltage sensor, the test block comprising a base including a plurality of inner electric circuits capable of allowing the transmission of information from the power source to the apparatus to be tested and a protective cover intended to be removably assembled with the base in order to form a closed enclosure in which the inner electric circuits are housed. The base and the protective cover are configured such that the removal of the protective cover gives access to a receiving site delimited by the base and capable of receiving, by plugging, a test plug independent of the test block and electrically linked to a test equipment, in particular a voltmeter and/or an ammeter and/or a dummy current source. The base and the protective cover comprise electrically conductive elements linked to each other and configured so as to ensure a continuity and magnetic shielding closure such that the enclosure delimited by the base and the protective cover is a Faraday cage protecting the inner electric circuits relative to the magnetic fields external to the enclosure delimited by the base and the protective cover.
Switch control apparatus and method
A switch control apparatus and method to diagnose whether a plurality of switches are controllable and effectively control the plurality of switches. According to an aspect of the present disclosure, it is possible to effectively maintain the states of the switches through a plurality of processors.
Modular Packaging with Elevating Screw
Modular packaging includes a solid state relay and a function module, wherein the function module comprises a housing containing a printed circuit board and an elevating screw. The elevating screw comprises a first end with an external threading and a second end with an external threading, where the elevating screw may be selectively altered between a first position and a second position within the housing. Related embodiments are disclosed.
Apparatus and method for monitoring the function of a safety switch means
An apparatus and a method are provided for monitoring the function of a safety switch means, wherein the safety switch means in particular can be used to switch an actuator. The apparatus and method enable the function of a safety switch means to be reliably monitored in a cost-effective manner. Further, the apparatus and method can provide universal function monitoring.
SIGNAL CONDITIONING CIRCUIT AND A RELAY/CIRCUIT BREAKER CONTROL APPARATUS INCLUDING SUCH A SIGNAL CONDITIONING CIRCUIT
There is a need to monitor and control the state of relays and circuit breakers within power distribution systems. The monitoring of a relay state, i.e. open or closed, is often performed by applying a monitoring signal to sensing contacts added to the relay. Manufactures of such systems have chosen many different voltages for their own. monitoring systems making it difficult to interconnect dissimilar monitoring systems. A signal conditioning circuit is provided that can cope with a large input voltage range and can be configured to allow may items of equipment(which may be new item or legacy items) to be connected to a controller.
WIRELESS CHECKING SYSTEM OF SWITCH AND OPERATING UNIT PROVIDED IN VEHICLE AND WIRELESS CHECKING METHOD USING THE SAME
A wireless checking system of a switch and operation unit that are provided in a vehicle includes: a switch disposed at a predetermined location in the vehicle; an operation unit wirelessly connected with the switch and disposed at a predetermined location in the vehicle to be operated by the switch; and a diagnosis equipment wirelessly connected with each of the switch and the operation unit and configured to wirelessly operate the switch and the operation unit, detect an operation state of the switch and the operation unit, and diagnose a wireless connection state of the switch and the operation unit.
Method for diagnosing an operating state of a contactor and contactor for implementing said method
A method for diagnosing an operating state, i.e., wear, of a contactor which includes a processing unit directing voltage control means; an, actuating coil; means for measuring an electric characteristic of the actuating coil; and a diode in parallel with the coil and the measuring means; the method including creating, for a specific contactor design, a plurality of variation curves of an electric characteristic of the coils of such contactors, over a drop-out period, by testing said contactors by sending a drop-out order fixing a drop-out voltage across the coil; after the drop-out order, repeatedly measuring the electric characteristic of the coil during a drop-out period; later sending a diagnostic drop-out order fixing the same drop-out voltage across the terminals of an actuating coil of a subject contactor being diagnosed; then measuring the same electric characteristic of the subject coil during a drop-out period; identifying a measured value of that characteristic of the subject coil, then comparing that measured value with the variation curves of the plurality of contactors of the same design, thereby diagnosing a state of wear of the subject contactor.
