Verifying Specifications for Magnetic Resonance Examinations
A method for verifying at least one default value for a magnetic resonance examination, a verifying unit, a magnetic resonance device and a computer program product are provided. According to the method, at least one default value for an electromagnetic property and a sequence segment are sent to a verifying unit. The verifying unit uses the sequence segment to determine at least one electromagnetic property. The at least one default value is verified by the verifying unit with respect to the at least one electromagnetic property.

In operation, the targeting cannula can be aligned with a first trajectory and positionally adjusted to provide a desired internal access path to a target location with a corresponding trajectory for the elongate probe. Automated systems for determining an MR scan plane associated with a trajectory and for determining mount adjustments are also described.
Method for Monitoring a Process for Refining a Hydrocarbon Feedstock by NMR Measurement of Transverse Relaxation time T2
The invention relates to a method for monitoring a process for refining a feedstock of hydrocarbons, in which: a) a signal representative of the transverse relaxation time of the different entities of an effluent resulting from said refining process, in particular an effluent comprising solid entities, is acquired by proton NMR, b) the signal measured is modeled using a mathematical function comprising several components, each component corresponding to a dynamic range of the entities of said effluent, c) the following are extracted from each of the components of the mathematical function: the transverse relaxation time of each of the components, the intensity of each of the components, d) a value of parameter characteristic of said effluent is determined from at least one intensity determined in stage c), e) a signal for controlling the refining process is generated as a function of said characteristic parameter.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR VESSEL ASSESSMENT
Devices, systems, and methods for visually depicting a vessel and evaluating a physiological condition of the vessel are disclosed. One embodiment includes obtaining, at a first time, a first image of the vessel, the image being in a first medical modality, and obtaining, at a second time subsequent to the first time, a second image of the vessel, the image being in the first medical modality. The method also includes spatially co-registering the first and second images and outputting a visual representation of the co-registered first and second images on a display. Further, the method includes determining a physiological difference between the vessel at the first time and the vessel at the second time based on the co-registered first and second images, and evaluating the physiological condition of the vessel of the patient based on the determined physiological difference.

The disclosure relates to medical devices and methods of assembling medical devices, such as MRI-compatible interventional wireguides. An example of a wireguide includes a series of individual segments, a plurality of connectors, and a plurality of spacers. Each segment in the series of individual segments has a first end and a second end. Each connector of the plurality of connectors joins adjacent segments in the series of individual segments to one another such that a first end of a first segment and a second end of a second segment in the series of individual segments are attached to a connector of the plurality of connectors. A spacer of the plurality of spacers is disposed between each pair of adjacent segments in the series of individual segments. Each of the segments in the series of individual segments is electrically insulated from an adjacent segment in the series of individual segments.
System and method for deploying interventional medical devices using magnetic resonance fingerprinting (MRF)
A method for target identification for a deep brain stimulation procedure includes acquiring a set of magnetic resonance fingerprinting (MRF) data for a region of interest in a subject using a MRI system, comparing the set of MRF data to an MRF dictionary to determine at least one parameter for the MRF data for the region of interest, generating a quantitative map of the at least one parameter, segmenting a target area of the region of interest based on the MRF data, generating at least one trajectory for placement of at least one electrode in the target area of the region of interest based on the segmentation of the target area and displaying the quantitative map and the at least one trajectory on a display.
ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE POSITION OF AN INVASIVE DEVICE
For the field of determining the position of an invasive device (1) a solution for improving the localization of the invasive device (1) is specified. This is achieved by an arrangement and a method for determining the position of an invasive device (1), wherein an optical shape sensing system for sensing a position and/or shape of the invasive device (1) is provided, wherein the system is arranged to localize at least one point P.sub.i on the invasive device (1) at a position x.sub.i, y.sub.i, z.sub.i, with some en-or margin (2Δx.sub.i, 2Δy.sub.i, 2Δz.sub.i) in a region of interest (3), localizing and reconstructing at least one point P.sub.i on the invasive device (1) at a position x.sub.i, y.sub.i, z.sub.i, with some error margin (2Δx.sub.i, 2Δy.sub.i, 2Δz.sub.i) in a region of interest (3) by the optical shape sensing system. An MRI system is also provided for measuring the position x.sub.i, y.sub.i, z.sub.i of the point P.sub.i on the invasive device (1) within the error margin in the region of interest at least in one spatial direction by the MRI system, wherein a signal of the magnetization in the error margin (2Δx.sub.i, 2Δy.sub.i, 2Δz.sub.i) is read out by the MRI system and a position of the invasive device (1) is determined based on the signal. The position x.sub.i, y.sub.i, z.sub.i, of the point P.sub.i on the invasive device (1) in the region of interest (3) determined by the optical shape sensing system is corrected with the x.sub.i, y.sub.i, z.sub.i, of the point P.sub.i on the invasive device (1) in the region of interest (3) determined by the MRI system by a calculating system to an actual position of the point P.sub.i on the invasive device (1).
MAGNETICALLY INDUCED TORQUE MEASUREMENT DEVICE AND METHOD BASED ON TORSIONAL SPRING METHOD
The invention relates to the field of detection of implantable medical devices, particularly to magnetically induced torque measurement devices and method of implants in magnetic resonance imaging systems. The measurement device includes transmission shafts, gear sets, a knob, an indicator, a detachable torsion spring set, a loading tray, a protractor, and an MRI-compatible camera. The measurement device changes its measurement range by replacing the detachable torsion spring set, adjusts a height of the loading tray by a lifting platform, amplifies a rotation angle of the knob by the gear sets, and records deflection angles of the loading tray by the MRI-compatible camera. The measurement device provides the detachable torsion spring set, which is suitable for measuring most samples; and provides a height-adjustable loading tray, which can be applied to MR systems with different center heights.
