Microfluidic device and method for parallel pressure-volume-temperature analysis in reservoir simulations
A method and microfluidic device to perform reservoir simulations using pressure-volume-temperature (“PVT”) analysis of wellbore fluids.
Indicator arrangements and methods for such arrangements
The invention relates to a position indicator for a system for moving a patient in a non-invasive therapy system, wherein the system for moving includes a patient support arranged outside a treatment space of a medical apparatus of the non-invasive therapy system, a treatment table arranged inside the treatment space in the medical apparatus, and a patient bed movable in a longitudinal direction from the patient support to the treatment table and back by means of activation of a transferring mechanism, wherein the position indicator comprises a number of light emitting elements arranged in the patient support and each being arranged to receive activation signals instructing a receiving light emitting element to emit light to indicate positions for treatment equipment.
Quick coupling for mounting an NMR probe on a shim system
A fastening device for releasably fastening a probe (1) to an NMR magnet (2). An insert part (3) fastens the probe to a retaining system (4) connected to the magnet. A force-variable connection is established by the insert part with spring elements (8). The probe fastens to the insert part with rigid retaining elements (6). When closed, a connection without mechanical play exists between the insert part and the retaining elements when the spring elements are under tension. An annular disc-shaped pretensioning element (9) is arranged between the insert part and the retaining system. By rotating the pretensioning element relative to the insert part, the pretensioning element presses on and pretensions the spring elements. When open, the spring elements and the retaining elements are configured to connect with a mechanical play of 0.5 to 5 mm between the insert part and the retaining elements when the spring elements are pretensioned.
UNIQUE IDENTIFICATION AND AUTHENTICATION OF PRODUCTS
A method of unambiguous identification and authentication of products for the purpose of better recognition of product forgeries and controlling product piracy, including applying to/into the product an identification substance admixture which contains paramagnetic phases or identifying a product which contains an identification substance admixture containing paramagnetic phases and has an ESR fingerprint spectrum that permits unambiguous identification of the product. Such an ESR fingerprint spectrum is easily measurable, but can be copied or forged only with difficulty. The method relates to an individualizable “femto tag” for femto ledgers and forms an important interface for what are known as “Internet of Things” (IOT).
UPPER COIL ASSEMBLY OF AN RF PROBE FOR USE IN AN MRI SYSTEM
An upper coil assembly for use with a lower RF coil assembly mounted to provide an RF probe arranged to be engaged with a head of a patient in MRI includes a plurality of coil loops arranged in a row defining a phase shift coil array with each coil loop including an independent output conductor for communicating signals to a respective preamplifier for independent amplification and each coil loop including a plurality of capacitors at spaced positions therearound. To decouple the loops each coil loop partly overlaps a next coil loop with a first decoupling capacitor shared on a common portion of each coil loop and each next coil loop. The first and third coil loops are also decoupled by using third decoupling capacitor in a connecting conductor between the first and third coil loops.
PNEUMATIC CABLE SHUTTLE SYSTEM FOR 2FNMR
A transfer device is provided for shuttling an NMR sample container between at least two coaxially arranged NMR magnet systems of an NMR spectrometer comprising a guide tube positioned in a central bore of the magnet systems, a shuttle assembly arranged inside the guide tube for securely holding and shuttling the sample container and a drive system comprising a pulling drive and a winch cord attached to the drive system on one side and to the shuttle assembly on the other side, such that the shuttle assembly can travel inside the guide tube. The transfer device has a pneumatic pressurizing arrangement with an entry for pressurized gas arranged on a gas-tight body above the shuttle assembly that is adapted to maintain the winch cord under tension. The shuttle assembly comprises a piston design being moveable along the common axis of the coaxial magnet systems under the influence of the pressure.
Medical imaging device having a movable patient couch and a touch-sensitive and force-sensitive interface for controlling the movable patient couch, and method for operating a medical imaging device
A medical imaging device, such as a computed tomography device and/or a magnetic resonance device, includes at least one movable component. The at least one movable component can include a patient couch, and the medical image device can further include an operating device for controlling the operation of the at least one component. The operating device can include a touch-sensitive and force-sensitive interface (e.g. touchscreen display) having at least one touch sensor and at least one force sensor that measure the strength of a touch.
Magnets and magnetic resonance imaging systems
A magnet suitable for use in a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) system. The magnet includes a magnet body having a bore extending therethrough along an axis of the body and a primary coil structure having at least four primary coils positioned along the axis. A first end coil is adjacent a first end of the bore of the magnet and a second end coil is adjacent a second end of the magnet. The first end coil and the second end coil are spaced apart by no more than 1000 mm and an imaging region produced by the primary coils is of a disk-type.
Coil assembly for magnetic resonance imaging
A portable magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system and methods, involving a magnet configured to generate a magnetic field, the magnet being a portable magnet transportable on a cart, and at least one coil assembly disposed in relation to the magnet, the at least one coil assembly having at least one gradient coil.
