METHODS FOR HANDLING POSITIONING OF A WIRELESS DEVICE AND RELATED NETWORK NODES AND WIRELESS DEVICE
A method, performed by a network node, is disclosed for handling positioning of a User Equipment, wireless device. The network node obtains a first approximate position of the wireless device, based on a first positioning procedure for the wireless device in a first frequency allocation. The network node determines, based on the first approximate position of the wireless device, a set of resources to be used for a second positioning procedure in a second frequency allocation. The network node initiates the second positioning procedure in the second frequency allocation using the determined set of resources. The network node obtains an updated position of the wireless device based on the second positioning procedure.

A roadside positioning method includes: obtaining positioning information of the user terminal, the positioning information being used for indicating a geographic location of the user terminal; obtaining wireless signal information of the user terminal, the wireless signal information being used for indicating wireless signals acquired by the user terminal at the geographic location; and determining a roadside positioning result of the user terminal based on the positioning information and the wireless signal information, the roadside positioning result being used for indicating a roadside on which the user terminal is located.
METHOD FOR LOCATING A MOBILE DEVICE IN A MULTIDIMENSIONAL SPACE AND CORRESPONDING INFRASTRUCTURE
In an embodiment a method includes emitting at least one group of at least N+1 mutually temporally asynchronous synchronization signals from at least N+1 fixed emitting locations in a space, receiving the synchronization signals of the group by a mobile device and at at least one fixed receiving location in the space, determining a reception moment of each synchronization signal of the at least one group by the mobile device in a time base specific to the mobile device, determining a reception moment of the synchronization signals of the at least one group at the at least one receiving location in a time base specific to each receiving location, and determining a position of the mobile device in the space at a given moment based on the reception moments determined at the at least one receiving location, the reception moments determined by the mobile device, coordinates of the emitting locations in the space and a distance between each emitting location and the at least one receiving location.
POSITIONING METHOD AND APPARATUS
This application provides example positioning methods and example apparatuses. One example method includes sending, by a positioning management network element, a positioning measurement request to a positioning measurement network element. The positioning measurement request is used to request the positioning measurement network element to feed back channel state information of a terminal device. Then, the positioning management network element receives a positioning measurement response from the positioning measurement network element. The positioning measurement response includes the channel state information of the terminal device. Then, the positioning management network element determines a location of the terminal device based on the channel state information of the terminal device.
Network node, user equipment, and methods in a wireless communications network
A method performed by a network node for locating a User Equipment (UE) is provided. The network node, the at least one portable network node and UE operate in a wireless communication network. The network node configures (204) the at least one portable network node to broadcast reference signals. The broadcasted reference signals trigger the UE to subsequently measure and report the quality of the respective reference signals to the network node. The network node then receives (205) subsequent measurement reports from the UE. Each measurement report comprises a current quality value of the reference signals sent by the respective at least one portable network node. The network node manages the respective at least one portable network node to approach the position of the UE by: Meanwhile analyzing the subsequent measurement reports, commanding (206) each of the at least one portable network node to move in a direction that is decided based on the analysis of its corresponding subsequent measurement reports one by one upon receiving them. The moving direction is to be performed such that quality values of its corresponding reference signals in subsequent measurement reports are increasing.
