ADAPTIVE RADAR WITH PUBLIC SAFETY MESSAGE INTEGRATION

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A communication device (e.g., a vehicle) in wireless communications system (e.g., a cellular-vehicle-to-everything (V2X) system) may support adaptive radar transmissions based on information received in a public safety message. The communication device may use information included in the public safety message to adapt radar transmissions to enable timely detection of vulnerable road users (VRUs). In some examples, based on a location and a velocity estimate provided in the public safety message, the communication device may adjust the radar transmissions to experience a trade-off between range and velocity estimation performance. Additionally or alternatively, based on positional accuracy estimates provided in the public safety message, the communication device may adjust the radar transmissions to improve beamforming. By adapting the radar transmissions, the communication device may experience low latency and high reliability for VRU collision warnings in the C-V2X system.

Systems and methods for configuring sensing signals in a wireless communication network

Systems and methods for the generation of sensing signals and sensing signal configurations for a wireless communication network are provided. In an embodiment, a sensing node identifier (ID) associated with a network entity is determined. This sensing node ID is used to determine a sensing signal configuration, which includes a resource configuration and a symbol sequence. The resource configuration is selected from a set of physical resources associated with a wireless communication network. The symbol sequence is based on the sensing node ID and is specific to the network entity in the wireless communication network. A sensing signal can be transmitted according to the sensing signal configuration.

This application provides example detection signal transmitting methods, detection apparatuses, and storage medium. One example method includes determining an orientation of a field of view of a detection apparatus. One of a plurality of anti-interference parameters can then be selected as a target anti-interference parameter based on the orientation of the field of view of the detection apparatus and according to a predefined rule, where the plurality of anti-interference parameters are determined according to the predefined rule. A detection signal can then be transmitted based on the target anti-interference parameter.

Spatial-Block Code Division Multiplexing (CDM) for Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) Waveforms

Techniques and systems are described for Spatial-Block Code Division Multiplexing (CDM) for MIMO waveforms. A radar system includes multiple transmitters, receivers, and phase shifters. Electromagnetic (EM) signals are transmitted and received in a Spatial-Block CDM scheme. Each spatial block has multiple slots outnumbering the channels. In addition, each slot corresponds to a specific code of phase shifts applied across the channels by the phase shifters during that slot. Fast-Fourier Transformations are applied to reflections of the EM signals to generate complex observations at each of the channels during each slot. Based on the observations, whether a Doppler phase shift exists between two slots can be determined based in part on whether the phase shift has one or multiple possible values. The techniques allow velocities to be resolved, despite a mixed-Doppler interval detected. Analog beamforming is supported; slots can be directed at particular angles to change gain in a field of view.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A MULTI-CHANNEL ANTENNA SYSTEM

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are described for combining digital and analog beamsteering in a channelized antenna array. In some examples, a method can include receiving one or more signals at each of a plurality of groups of antenna elements, each group of antenna elements defining a respective channel from a plurality of channels, and steering, by each respective channel and using analog steering, the one or more signals in a respective direction to yield a steered analog signal pattern. The method can further include converting the steered analog signal pattern associated with each respective channel into a respective digital signal and, based on the respective digital signal, generating, using digital steering, digital signal patterns steered within the steered analog signal pattern associated with the respective digital signal.

Multi-Channel Joint Interference Mitigation

This document describes techniques, apparatuses, and systems for multi-channel joint interference mitigation. Radar radiation received by a radar system may include interference from other nearby radar systems. The interference can result in reduced sensitivity of the radar system. The techniques, apparatuses, and systems described herein mitigate the interference by identifying a set of samples of the radar radiation with interference. The interference can be estimated and mitigated by comparing this set (e.g., with interference) to a set of samples without interference and suppressing the interference without suppressing the detected signal. Further, the interference can be analyzed to determine if the interference contains detection information of one or more objects (e.g., other vehicles with radar systems causing interference). In this manner, interference mitigation may be obtained without losing information included in the set of samples including interference.
