COCKPIT DISPLAY FOR DEGRADED VISUAL ENVIRONMENT (DVE) USING MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR (MMWR)
An aircraft display system to present a real-time, three-dimensional depiction of a region around an aircraft, where this three-dimensional depiction is fixed to the aircraft's coordinate location and attitude. As the aircraft moves in attitude (e.g. roll, pitch, or yaw), in altitude (e.g., climbing and descending), and/or laterally, the three-dimensional depiction tilts and moves with the aircraft. The display may include a three-dimensional volumetric representation that may identify and prioritize hazards in the region around the aircraft. The aircraft display system may combine data from a plurality of sensors into a composite, real-time, three-dimensional synthetic vision display that determines a priority for each hazard.
INTERFEROMETRIC VIBRATION OBSERVATION DEVICE, VIBRATION OBSERVATION PROGRAM, RECORDING MEDIUM, VIBRATION OBSERVATION METHOD AND VIBRATION OBSERVATION SYSTEM
An interferometric vibration observation device includes a transmitting unit, a receiving unit and a signal processing unit. The transmitting unit transmits a transmission signal toward an observation object. The receiving unit receives a reflection wave from the observation object with a plurality of receiving antennas and generates a reception signal for each of the receiving antennas. The signal processing unit obtains a phase plane of the reflection wave to an antenna plane from a phase difference between the reception signals, identifies an arrival direction and a signal strength of the reflection wave, calculates a phase variation of the reflection wave from a certain direction, and generates an observation signal representative of a vibration of the observation object or a certain site of the observation object.

RADAR DETECTOR FOR RECOGNIZING USER'S MOTION
Provided is a radar detector for detecting and recognizing, as a control signal, a hand gesture or a motion of a user and transferring the same to a peripheral device. The radar detector utilizes position information of GPS or GLONASS by additionally mounting a GPS receiving unit to the radar detector so as to amend malfunctions of the radar detector in environments in which interference from undesired signals may be received, such as areas of heavy jamming, downtown areas where various signals are generated, etc., and to enable a user to arbitrarily add (or delete) a notification refusal area or a notification area. The radar detector is expected to contribute to safe driving by increasing control convenience of a driver and preventing traffic accidents.

METHOD FOR DETERMINING AN INNER DIAMETER OF A SOUNDING TUBE BY A FILL-LEVEL MEASURING DEVICE
A method for determining an inner diameter of a sounding tube, which, for measuring the fill level of a fill substance located in a process space of a container, extends in the process space, or is placed alongside the container and connected with the process space. The method can be implemented in the case of a fill-level measuring device working according to the FMCW-principle. Besides the intermediate frequency of the difference signal, also its phase shift is ascertained, wherein the exact tube inner diameter can be determined based on the phase shift. An advantage of the method is that the fill-level measuring device with the help of the then exactly known tube diameter can be recalibrated and accordingly the fill level determined more exactly. The exact tube inner diameter does not have to have been previously known.
