Systems and methods to determine risk distribution based on sensor coverages of a sensor system for an autonomous driving vehicle
Systems and methods of determining a risk distribution associated with a multiplicity of coverage zones covered by a multiplicity of sensors of an autonomous driving vehicle (ADV) are disclosed. The method includes for each coverage zone covered by at least one sensor of the ADV, obtaining MTBF data of the sensor(s) covering the coverage zone. The method further includes determining a mean time between failure (MTBF) of the coverage zone based on the MTBF data of the sensor(s). The method further includes computing a performance risk associated with the coverage zone based on the determined MTBF of the coverage zone. The method further includes determining a risk distribution based on the computed performance risks associated with the multiplicity of coverage zones.
Beat Frequency Signal Processing Method and Apparatus
A beat frequency signal processing method includes determining a two-dimensional (2D) time frequency spectrogram of a beat frequency signal based on a sampled sequence of the beat frequency signal, where the 2D time frequency spectrogram indicates a relationship between a frequency and a time of the beat frequency signal; performing matching between the 2D time frequency spectrogram of the beat frequency signal and a plurality of theoretical 2D time frequency spectrograms to determine, as a target 2D time frequency spectrogram, a theoretical 2D time frequency spectrogram whose matching degree is greater than or equal to a preset threshold. The plurality of theoretical 2D time frequency spectrograms are 2D time frequency spectrograms of the beat frequency signal, under combinations of a plurality of flight times and a plurality of Doppler frequency offsets, that are calculated based on a frequency sweep curve of the frequency modulated signal.
Systems and methods to enhance early detection of performance induced risks for an autonomous driving vehicle
Systems and methods of adjusting zone associated risks of a coverage zone covered by one or more sensors of an autonomous driving vehicle (ADV) operating in real-time are disclosed. As an example, the method includes defining a performance limit detection window associated with a first sensor based on a mean time between failure (MTBF) lower limit of the first sensor and a MTBF upper limit of the first sensor. The method further includes determining whether an operating time of the ADV operating in autonomous driving (AD) mode is within the performance limit detection window associated with the first sensor. The method further includes in response to determining that the operating time of the ADV operating in AD mode is within the performance limit detection window of the first sensor, adjusting a zone associated risk of the coverage zone to a performance risk of a second sensor.
Gesture recognition using multiple antenna
Various embodiments wirelessly detect micro gestures using multiple antenna of a gesture sensor device. At times, the gesture sensor device transmits multiple outgoing radio frequency (RF) signals, each outgoing RF signal transmitted via a respective antenna of the gesture sensor device. The outgoing RF signals are configured to help capture information that can be used to identify micro-gestures performed by a hand. The gesture sensor device captures incoming RF signals generated by the outgoing RF signals reflecting off of the hand, and then analyzes the incoming RF signals to identify the micro-gesture.

The present disclosure provides a parameter calibration importing method for importing calibration parameter into an UWB module, the parameter calibration importing method includes determining the calibration parameter according to requirements of the UWB module, storing the calibration parameters, and writing the corresponding calibration parameters into an UWB chip according to the identity information. Wherein the calibration parameter is associated with identity information of the UWB module.
Vehicle odometry and motion direction determination
The vehicle odometry and motion direction system and method is described. The vehicle odometry and motion direction system and method determines if the first ground speed data is acceptable. Ground speed data is calculated for all targets within a radar's field of view and targets ground speed data is processed to determine second ground speed data. The vehicle odometry and motion direction system and method determines trusted ground speed data using first ground speed data and second ground speed data and adjusts the trusted ground speed data due to errors in radar Doppler speed data.
