The storage stores first detection efficiency correction data that is generated based on an external radiation source or a simulation and first detection efficiency data per scintillator that is calculated based on radiation that is emitted from the scintillator. The processing circuitry calculates second detection efficiency data per scintillator that is calculated based on radiation that is emitted from the scintillator and generates second detection efficiency correction data based on the first detection efficiency correction data, the first detection efficiency data, and the second detection efficiency data.

The first conductive layer includes a first conductive region and a second conductive region. A first portion of the organic member is between the first conductive region and the second conductive region in the second direction.

The separator material consists of separator particles that have a predetermined size and with this the separator material provides an optical separation of the scintillator elements by providing a physical spacing between the scintillator elements, the width of which spacing is defined by the separator particle size.

A radiation diagnostic device according to an aspect of the present invention includes a first detector, a second detector, and processing circuitry. The first detector detects Cherenkov light that is generated when radiation passes. The second detector is disposed to be opposed to the first detector on a side distant from a generation source of the radiation, and detects energy information of the radiation. The processing circuitry specifies Compton scattering events detected by the second detector, and determines an event corresponding to an incident channel among the specified Compton scattering events based on a detection result obtained by the first detector.

There is provided a detector component (40) for an X-ray or gamma ray detector, the detector component (40) comprising: a scintillating crystal having a plurality of scintillation crystal pixels (41), wherein each scintillating crystal pixel (41) is larger in one dimension than in the other two dimensions, and wherein each scintillating crystal pixel (41) has one or more light exit faces; and a photodetector (42) associated with at least one of the light exit faces of each scintillating crystal pixel (41), wherein a first and a second scintillating crystal pixel are arranged adjacent to one another, wherein a X-ray or gamma ray interaction with the first scintillating crystal pixel causes the generation of at least one photon, and optical cross talk of the at least one generated photon occurs between the first and the second scintillating crystal pixel, such that the X-ray or gamma ray interaction within the first scintillating crystal pixel is detected in use at the photodetector associated with a light exit face of the second scintillating crystal pixel.

The present invention provides a detector and an emission tomography device including the detector. The detector comprises: a scintillation crystal array comprising a plurality of scintillation crystals; and a photo sensor array, coupled to an end surface of the scintillation crystal array and comprising multiple photo sensors. At least one of the multiple photo sensors is coupled to a plurality of the scintillation crystals respectively. Surfaces of the plurality of the scintillation crystals not coupled to the photo sensor array are each provided with a light-reflecting layer, and a light-transmitting window is disposed in the light-reflecting layer on a surface among the surfaces adjacent to a scintillation crystal coupled to an adjacent photo sensor. The detector has DOI decoding capability. No mutual interference occurs during DOI decoding, and decoding is more accurate. Moreover, with the number of photo sensor arrays being the same, the decoding capability for the scintillation crystals is significantly improved. With the number of photo sensor arrays being the same, the size of the photo sensor array and the number of channels of a readout circuit of the photo sensors of the present invention can be reduced by three-quarters to eight-ninths.
