Vibrating pipe locator
A device for identifying the location of pipe is disclosed. The device includes a motor shaft attached at one end to a motor and attached at the other end to a weight; a flexible push rod attached at one end to a tip assembly and attached at the other end to a reel; a power source for powering the motor; and a tip assembly. The tip assembly is threaded into one end of a pipe. As the motor turns the motor shaft, the motor shaft causes the weight to oscillate. As the weight oscillates it causes the tip assembly to vibrate. As the tip assembly vibrates it emits auditory sounds.

SEISMIC SOURCE FOR ON THE MOVE SEISMIC SURVEYING
A seismic source apparatus, configured to be maneuvered by a vehicle over terrain.
Seismic Source
An assembly for providing an active seismic source includes a motor and a drive shaft coupled to the motor. A crank is coupled to the drive shaft. The motor is configured to impart rotation of the crank in a first rotational direction. A one-way bearing permits rotation of the crank relative to the drive shaft in the first rotational direction and inhibits rotation of the crank relative to the drive shaft in an opposed second rotational direction. The assembly also includes a strike plate, a track, and a hammer that is movable along the track along an axis that extends toward and away from the strike plate. The hammer contacts the strike plate. A biasing element biases the hammer toward the strike plate. A linkage arm couples the hammer to the crank and translates rotational movement of the crank to linear movement of the hammer.

SEISMIC VIBRATOR WITH ADJUSTABLE RESONANCE FREQUENCY
A seismic vibrator is configured to operate close to resonance for range of actuating frequencies. The vibrator has a baseplate, a reaction mass coupled to the baseplate via an elastic coupling mechanism and an actuator configured to displace the reaction mass with an actuating frequency. The vibrator also has a frequency-adjusting system configured to adjust a natural frequency of the elastic coupling mechanism and the reaction mass, to track the actuating frequency so that to achieve resonance.
