Monitoring system
Monitoring system includes: a light projecting and receiving unit including an emitting section to emit a light flux, a scanning section to make the light flux scan within a monitoring space, and a light receiving section to receive a light flux reflected from an object within the monitoring space; a processing section to measure a distance to the object by processing signals from the light projecting and receiving unit and to output a measurement point marker group provided with three-dimensional distance information for each measurement point; a user interface that sets a monitoring region in a virtual space by an operation of a user; and a display device that, when the monitoring region has been set via the user interface, displays the set monitoring region together with the measurement point marker group, wherein the processing section outputs an alarm signal when an object invades within the monitoring region during monitoring.

LIQUID DISPENSER
A water purifier or other liquid dispenser may sense a height of the inlet of a container accurately through an infrared transmitter and an infrared receiver that are disposed at different positions of a water discharge module moving vertically. Additionally, in the water purifier, the water discharge module may discharge purified water at a point spaced a certain distance apart from the inlet of the container, based on infrared sensing, thereby preventing the inlet of the container from contacting the lower surface of the water discharge module.

OPTICAL SCANNING APPARATUS, OBJECT DETECTION APPARATUS
An optical scanning apparatus used for detecting an object by irradiating light and receiving the reflected light including: a deflector; a light source having a first light-emitting unit that emits a first light and a second light-emitting unit that emits a second light having optical characteristics different from that of the first light; a first optical element disposed so that the first light emitted from the first light-emitting unit is incident thereon and reflects the first light and causes it to be incident on the deflector; a second optical element disposed so that the second light emitted from the second light-emitting unit is incident thereon and reflects the second light and causes it to be incident on the deflector; where the first optical element reflects the first light and transmits the second light, and where the second optical element reflects the second light and transmits the first light.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FOREIGN OBJECT DETECTION IN WIRELESS POWER TRANSFER
A system for foreign object detection (FOD) in wireless power transfer is proposed. The system may include a balanced coil which is disposed between a transmitter coil and a receiver coil and which includes a Maxwell bridge circuit. The system may also include a temperature sensor configured to measure a temperature of the transmitter coil. The system may further include a processor configured to determine whether an FO is present between the transmitter coil and the receiver coil on the basis of voltage values detected at both ends of the bridge circuit. The FOD system can recognize the FO by finding a maximum resonant frequency at which a metal reacts using resonant frequency sweeping in a bridge circuit.
