This invention is directed toward a garment that is comfortable to wear and can safely, with easy accessibility, securely and inconspicuously store a cell phone and other important items. A preferred embodiment of the invention is a pair of shorts, with an elasticized waistband that can be tightened by a non-elasticized drawstring cord. There is a seamless, knitted inner layer similar to boy short style underwear. This seamless, knitted boy short style underwear inner layer provides comfort to the user. Two vertical side hip interior pockets are sewn onto the inner liner of the seamless, knitted boy short underwear at the hips of the user, making it comfortable for a user to carry a cell phone and/or other items. The shorts have a thin line of reflective fabric sewn into the hip seams and on the hem of the shorts, providing safety for the user during times of low visibility.

A garment or article of clothing made of a resilient/elastomeric material includes at least a waist portion, a first leg portion, and a second leg portion. The waist portion further includes a pocket on the rear of the garment, where the pocket is defined by a backing panel, a first flap, and a second flap. The first flap is at least partially disposed over the second flap to secure contents between the backing panel and the second panel, and thus, within the pocket. When the waist portion is stretched, the tensile forces imparted onto the waist portion by the resilient/elastomeric material causes the first flap to at least partially overlie the second flap. The pocket is sized and shaped to receive smartphones and other small personal items, such as keys, money, credit cards, identifications, etc.

In an embodiment, a medical garment can have a waist band, a front panel and a first tunnel, the waist band passing through the first tunnel, the first tunnel comprising a first lateral side and a second lateral side. A back panel and a second tunnel through which the waist band passes, the second tunnel comprising a first lateral side and a second lateral side. The first and second lateral sides of the front panel can be positioned inward toward a middle of the front panel through movement of a portion of the first tunnel relative to the waist band. The first and second lateral sides of the back panel can be positioned inward toward a middle of the back panel through movement of a portion of the second tunnel relative to the waist band.
