The optical fiber and the PLC are optically connected via the adhesive and the microlens, and the optical fiber, the PLC, and the microlens are mechanically connected by the adhesive.
OPTICAL FIBER CONNECTOR
An optical fiber connector can terminate a plurality of optical fiber cables, each with a jacket encasing at least one optical fiber and a strength element. A connector housing has a back post. The optical fibers of the plurality of optical fiber cables extend into the connector housing through the back post. A single crimp ring crimps the strength members of the plurality of optical fiber cables onto the back post. In a method of terminating a plurality of optical fiber cables, the cables are inserted through a single crimp ring, optical fibers of each of the cables are terminated in a multifiber ferrule, the cables are loaded into a back body of a connector housing, and strength members of the cables are crimped onto a back post using a single crimp ring.
SMALL FORM FACTOR FIBER OPTIC CONNECTOR WITH MULTI-PURPOSE BOOT
An optical connector holding two or more LC-type optical ferrules is provided. The optical connector includes an outer body, an inner front body accommodating the two or more LC-type optical ferrules, ferrule springs for urging the optical ferrules towards a mating connection, and a back body for supporting the ferrule springs. A removable inner front body for polarity change is disclosed. A multi-purpose rotatable boot assembly for polarity change is disclosed. The multi-purpose boot assembly can be pushed and pulled to insert and remove the micro connector from an adapter receptacle.
OPTICAL FIBER CABLE ASSEMBLY AND MEASUREMENT DEVICE
A plurality of optical fiber groups are housed in an optical fiber cable and which of the optical fiber groups optical fibers, which constitute the optical fiber groups, belong to can be identified depending on a covering of the optical fibers. Each of optical connectors (plug, receptacle) which are respectively attached to both ends of the optical fiber cable has regions, in which insertion holes in which the optical fibers are inserted and fixed one by one are formed to be arranged in a predetermined interval, in the same number as the number of the optical fiber groups, and even though the optical fibers in one optical fiber group are inserted and fixed in the insertion holes in an identical region, an arrangement order of the optical fibers in the region of the optical connector provided on one end is not maintained as an arrangement order of the optical fibers in the region of the optical connector provided on the other end. An optical fiber cable assembly which
POSITIONING DEVICE AND ALIGNMENT FIXTURE FOR LINEAR OPTICAL FIBER ARRAY
A fixture for aligning a linear array of optical fiber terminators includes a base and a heightwise stack of positioning devices disposed on the base. Each positioning device includes an anchor secured to a lengthwise wall of a bracket coupled to the base, a terminator holder flexibly coupled to the anchor and having a lengthwise channel for holding a respective optical fiber terminator, and actuators controlling position and yaw of the terminator holder in a plane orthogonal to the heightwise direction. The terminator holder has planar top and bottom surfaces that define a height of the terminator holder and interface with the terminator holder of any adjacent positioning device. The fixture also includes a clamp for clamping the positioning device stack against the base after setting the in-plane position and yaw of each terminator holder. Individual positioning devices may be adjusted or replaced without disturbing the rest of the stack.
Fiber optic system for narrow width fiber optic connectors, adapters and transceivers
