Field installable optical module with configurable cable attachment
A cable adaptor case for sorting a first plurality of cables and adapting a plurality of types of cables comprising a cable tray for holding cables, an adaptor tray for adapting a first plurality of cables to a second plurality of cables, and a lid which is removably attached and hingably attached to the cable tray.
Fire Safety Retainers For Point of Entry And Other Modules Storing Optical Fibers or Cables
A safety retention clip for installation in a module that stores a length of a communication line. The clip has a body formed of metallic sheet material. The body has a base portion, and a retaining finger portion joined to the base portion. A distal end of the finger portion is configured to overlie a communication line stored inside the module, and to retain the line close to a building wall on which the module is mounted if the module melts during a building fire. A mounting hole is formed in the base portion of the clip body, near a proximal end of the finger portion for insertion of a mounting screw. The hole extends through a boss that projects downward from the base portion, and the boss is sized to nest in a corresponding mounting opening in a base of the module in which the clip is installed.
OPTICAL FIBER MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS; AND METHODS
Aspects and techniques of the present disclosure relate to handheld tools for assisting in routing optical fiber, and including advantageous features and methods usable with handheld tools. Disclosed features and techniques relate to: a splicing station, a spool, a groove plate; a substrate; a fiber management device; a tool; and flexible organizers.
FIBER OPTIC MODULE AND SYSTEM INCLUDING REAR CONNECTORS
A telecommunications assembly including a housing and a plurality of modules mounted within the housing. The modules includes a rear face in which is mounted at least one fiber optic connector. Within an interior of the housing are positioned at least one fiber optic adapters. Inserting the module through a front opening of the housing at a mounting location positions the connector of the module for insertion into and mating with the adapter of the housing. The adapters within the interior of the housing are mounted to a removable holder. A method of mounting a telecommunications module within a chassis.
CABINET WITH SLIDING COMPONENT MOUNT
One or more active components can be strand mounted within a cabinet that also has passive optical components. Certain types of strand mounts are slidable relative to the cabinet to enhance access to the components. Each component may be independently slidable.
Cable management arrangement
A cable management arrangement (1000) is disclosed. In one aspect, a plurality of cables (1002) extending between first and second ends is provided. The arrangement (1000) can also include a supporting sheet (1004) having a first side and a second side, wherein the plurality of cables (1002) is removably adhered to the supporting sheet first side by a first adhesive (1010). A second adhesive (1012) can be provided on at least a portion of the supporting sheet second side and a protection sheet (1014) can be provided to cover the second adhesive (1012). A protection sheet (1014) can be provided that is removable from the supporting sheet (1004) to allow the supporting sheet (1004) to be adhered to a surface. A telecommunications arrangement is also disclosed in which the aforementioned cable management arrangement (1000) is mounted to a telecommunications tray (112) via the second adhesive (1012).
Fiber optic cable deployment assemblies, systems, and methods
An assembly for deploying fiber optic cable includes a housing defining a cavity and comprising a wall. The wall defines an opening allowing a fiber optic cable to pass. The assembly also includes a spool configured to store a portion of the fiber optic cable. The spool is rotatably coupled to the housing within the cavity of the housing. The assembly also includes a component module releasably coupled to the housing and comprising an adapter configured to optically couple the fiber optic cable to another fiber optic cable.
Flexible routing in a fiber tray for use in a fiber optic assembly
A fiber tray with an adjustable fiber boot exit angle includes one or more trays each including a base layer and a retention mechanism for one or more optical fibers at various positions about the base layer, wherein the one or more trays provide management of the one or more optical fibers in a fiber optic assembly; a fiber boot at an exit point of a tray of the one or more trays, wherein the fiber boot provides an exit for the one or more optical fibers from the fiber tray; and an adjustment mechanism configured to adjust an exit angle of the one or more optical fibers by changing position of the fiber boot, wherein the exit angle is set based on a type of the fiber optic assembly.
SEAL WITH A BLOCKABLE ROTOR FOR MEASURING INSTRUMENTS
The invention relates to means for sealing measuring instruments and equipment, specifically to seals with a blockable rotor to enable monitoring for unauthorized access to instruments measuring consumption of electrical and heating energy, natural gas and water. A seal with a rotor comprises a transparent body (1) made from a high-strength plastic and formed with a cylindrical cavity (2) having a blind end and openings (3) which are formed on lateral sides of the cavity (2) and through which a flexible sealing element passes, and a rectangular cavity (4) which is installed at the open end of the cavity (2), transversely with respect to the latter, wherein the cavities (2) and (4) are interconnected. A rotor (6) is arranged in the cavity (2) so as to be rotatable in one direction. Openings for the flexible sealing element are formed in the lateral walls of the cavity (2) and in the rotor. A cross-shaped blocking element (9) is installed at one end of the rotor. A device (5) for blocking the rotation of the rotor is arranged in the cavity (4), one end of which device is provided with two projections in the form of a fork (13), between which a trapezoidal groove (15) is formed for securing the cross-shaped blocking element (9).
