WALL BOX ADAPTED TO BE MOUNTED AT A MID-SPAN ACCESS LOCATION OF A TELECOMMUNICATIONS CABLE
A wall box includes an enclosure having a base and a cover connected to the base. The base and the cover enclose an interior region. The wall box further includes a plurality of fiber optic adapters mounted to the enclosure. The fiber optic adapters include an inner port positioned inside the interior region and an outer port positioned at an outer surface of the enclosure. A tray stack is mounted within the interior region. The tray stack includes a tray mount pivotally connected to the enclosure. The tray mount includes a top surface and an oppositely disposed bottom surface. A first splice tray mounting area is disposed on the top surface and a second splice tray mounting area is disposed on the bottom surface. A plurality of trays is disposed in the first splice tray mounting area. A tray is disposed in the second splice tray mounting area.
System for installing optical fiber
An apparatus has a cassette configured to hold optical fiber comprising one or more optical sensors. The cassette has a spool configured to one or more of extract and retract the optical fiber from the cassette. A pre-strain mechanism is configured to apply a predetermined pre-strain to the one or more optical sensors. An optical fiber installation tool is configured to mount the optical fiber comprising the one or more pre-strained optical sensors to a surface.
Fiber drop terminal
A drop terminal mounting system includes a fiber drop terminal having a housing and a base attached to the housing. The housing includes an outer surface containing a plurality of receptacles and cooperatively defines an inner cavity with the base. The drop terminal mounting system further includes a bracket having a first fastening region and a second fastening region adapted to secure the drop terminal to the bracket.
OPTICAL SPLICE AND TERMINATION MODULE
An optical module includes a housing; an optical adapter arrangement disposed at the housing; a cable inlet leading from an exterior of the housing to the interior of the housing; and a splice location disposed within the interior of the housing. Optical pigtails extend from the optical adapter arrangement to the splice location. Certain types of modules have a removable splice tray having a bend radius limiting arrangement surrounding multiple splice channels. Certain types of modules have first and second chambers separated by a wall defining a pass-through aperture.
Pluggable optical module and optical communication system
An object is, in a pluggable optical module, to compactly house an optical fiber used for connecting optical components in a housing in which a plurality of optical components are mounted. The pluggable optical module (100) includes: a plurality of optical components, a printed circuit board (51); one or more optical fibers; and optical fiber housing means (14). All or a part of the plurality of optical components are mounted on the printed circuit board (51). One or more optical fibers connect between the plurality of optical components. The optical fiber housing means (14) includes a guide that is disposed on a plate-like member and can wind the one or more optical fibers, and mounted to be stacked with the printed circuit board (51) on which the optical components are mounted and all or a part of optical components other than the optical components mounted on the printed circuit board (51).
MOUNTING BRACKET SYSTEM FOR TELECOMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT
A fiber optic system includes an enclosure and a mounting bracket that cooperate to define a mechanical coupling interface including a slide interface and a snap-fit interface. The slide interface allows the enclosure to mount to the bracket along a first dimension and retains the enclosure at the bracket along second and third dimensions that are transverse to the first dimension and transverse to each other. The snap-fit interface, once triggered, retains the enclosure at the bracket along the first dimension.
Cabinet including door locking indicator
A system for improved cable management is disclosed in several example embodiments. The disclosed embodiments describe example structures for supporting cables, for example telecommunications and fiber optic cables, within a cable storage cabinet. The disclosed embodiments also describe a door for a cable storage cabinet. The example door includes a hinge control and handle system which allows the door to be opened along either side to therefore allow the door to be opened either way from a single handle. The disclosed embodiments also describes an indicator system which informs a user when the door for the cable storage cabinet is in either a closed position or an open position. Each of these embodiments improves the utility and safety of cable management, particularly within cable storage cabinets.
FIBER TERMINATION ENCLOSURE WITH MODULAR PLATE ASSEMBLIES
Certain types of fiber termination enclosures include an enclosure and at least one of a plurality of plate module mounting assemblies. Example plate module mounting assemblies include a termination panel plate assembly; a splice tray plate assembly; a cable spool plate assembly; and a drop-in plate assembly. Example cable spool plate assemblies include a cable spool arrangement rotationally coupled to a mounting plate, which fixedly mounts within the enclosure housing. A stand-off mount element may be disposed on the front of the cable spool arrangement to rotate in unison with the cable spool arrangement. The stand-off mount element may include one or more termination adapters.
Rapid universal rack mount enclosure
A cable enclosure assembly includes an enclosure, a cable spool and a length of fiber optic cable. The enclosure defines an interior region, a first opening and a second opening aligned with the first opening. The first and second openings provide access to the interior region. The cable spool is disposed in the interior region of the enclosure and is rotatably engaged with the enclosure. The cable spool includes a drum and a flange engaged to the drum. The flange has an outer peripheral side, a cable management portion and an adapter bulkhead portion. The adapter bulkhead portion extends outwardly from the cable management portion and forms a portion of the outer peripheral side. The length of the fiber optic cable is dispose about the drum of the cable spool.
Fiber Optic Cassette Arrangement
An adapter assembly includes a single-piece or two-piece multi-fiber adapter defining a recess at which a contact assembly is disposed. The adapter assemblies can be disposed within adapter block assemblies or cassettes, which can be mounted to moveable trays. Both ports of the adapters disposed within adapter block assemblies are accessible. Only one port of each adapter disposed within the cassettes are accessible. Circuit boards can be mounted within the block assemblies or cassettes to provide communication between the contact assemblies and a data network.
