A zoom lens includes, in order from an object side to an image side, a first positive lens unit fixed for zooming, a second negative lens unit that moves during zooming, at least two lens units that move during zooming, a final positive lens unit disposed closest to an image plane and fixed for zooming, and an aperture stop disposed between a lens surface closest to the image plane of the second lens unit and a lens surface closest to an object of the final lens unit, configured to move during zooming, and located closer to the image plane at a telephoto end than at a wide-angle end. The first lens unit includes a sub-lens unit disposed closest to the object in the first lens unit and fixed for focusing, and a sub-lens unit configured to move for focusing. Predetermined inequalities are satisfied.

A zoom lens consists of, in order from an object side, a positive first lens group, a negative second lens group, a positive third lens group, a positive fourth lens group, and a positive fifth lens group. During zooming, the first lens group is fixed, and distances between the respective lens groups change in predetermined manners. The first lens group consists of, in order from the object side, a negative lens group fixed during focusing, a positive lens group movable during focusing, and a positive lens group fixed during focusing. The lens group has on the most image side four lenses of, in order from the object side, a positive lens, a cemented lens in which a negative meniscus lens having a convex surface facing the object side and a positive lens are cemented, and a positive meniscus lens having a convex surface facing the object side.

A zoom lens includes a focus lens unit that moves in focus adjustment, a magnification lens unit including lens units that move in magnification, and a relay lens unit that does not move for magnification, in this order from the object side toward the image side, and a correction lens unit that is disposed in the focus lens unit or magnification lens unit and moves in the optical axis direction to correct displacement of the in-focus position. The amounts of change in in-focus position at the wide angle and telephoto ends with the correction lens unit moved by 1 mm in the optical axis direction, the maximum absolute value of the amount of movement of the correction lens unit for correcting displacement of the in-focus position, and the maximum absolute value of the amount of movement of the lens units in the magnification lens unit are set as appropriate.

Upon zooming, distances between the first lens group (G1) and the second lens group (G2) and between the second lens group (G2) and the subsequent group (GR) change. The subsequent group (GR) comprises a focusing group (Gfc) having negative refractive power for focusing. The first lens group (G1) comprises a 1-1st lens that has positive refractive power and is disposed closest to the object. A following conditional expression is satisfied:
0.20<f1/fR<0.85 where, f1 denotes a focal length of the first lens group, and fR denotes a focal length of a lens component, in the subsequent group, closest to an image surface.

A zoom lens has, in order from an object side to an image side, a positive first lens unit, a negative second lens unit, a positive third lens unit, a positive fourth lens unit, and a fifth lens unit. In the zoom lens, the loci of the lens units moving for zooming are set appropriately, and a reflector for bending an optical path is placed at an appropriate position within the fifth lens unit.

The zoom lens consisting of, in order from an object side: a first lens group that has a positive refractive power; a second lens group that has a negative refractive power; a third lens group that has a negative refractive power; an intermediate part; and a final lens group that has a positive refractive power. The first lens group consists of three lenses, and has a cemented lens which is formed by cementing at least one positive lens and at least one negative lens. The second lens group consists of, in order from the object side, a negative meniscus lens, a biconcave lens, and a biconvex lens. The third lens group consists of one lens. The final lens group has a lens, which is convex toward an image side, at a position closest to the image side. Each lens group moves in a predetermined direction during zooming, and only the third lens group moves in the direction of the optical axis during focusing, and predetermined conditional expressions are satisfied.

A zoom lens is provided. The zoom lens may include in order from an object side to an image side: a first lens group; a second lens group; a third lens group; a fourth lens group; and a fifth lens group; wherein the zoom lens satisfies the following conditions: ?1.7?f.sub.2/f.sub.w??0.3, 0.7?f.sub.3/f.sub.w?2.1, 1.1?f.sub.4/f.sub.w?2.5, and TTL/f.sub.w?6.5, wherein f.sub.2 denotes a focal length of the second lens group, f.sub.3 denotes a focal length of the third lens group, f.sub.4 denotes a focal length of the fourth lens group, f.sub.w denotes a focal length of the zoom lens, and TTL denotes a total track length of the zoom lens.

A zoom lens including in order from an object side: a positive first unit configured not to move for zooming; a negative second unit configured to move to the image side for zooming to a telephoto end; and a relay lens unit configured not to move for zooming, wherein the first unit consists of five lenses including, in order from the object side, a negative lens, a positive lens, a positive lens, a positive lens and a positive lens, or six lenses including, in order from the object side, a positive lens, a negative lens, a positive lens, a positive lens, a positive lens and a positive lens, and a refractive index of the negative lens in the first unit, an Abbe number of the negative lens, a focal length of the negative lens, and a focal length of the first lens unit are appropriately set.
