A heat resistant sheath for endoscope includes a main body sheath into which an insertion portion of an endoscope apparatus is inserted, and into which a cooling fluid is supplied by a cooling device, a sheath distal end portion at which an endoscope distal end portion is arranged, and that is connected to a distal end of the main body sheath, an observation hole formed at a middle part of a circumferential side portion of the sheath distal end portion, and configured to expose an observation window of the endoscope distal end portion to allow observation of an object, and an exhaust hole formed in the circumferential side portion of the sheath distal end portion, on a distal end side with respect to the observation hole, and configured to discharge the cooling fluid in a direction different from an observation direction of the endoscope apparatus.

Inspection apparatus guide system

A valve body in a passage of a housing connected to a through hole in a sealed machine casing can allow an inspection apparatus into an interior of the casing when open, and prevents fluid flow through the passage when closed. Seals can engage the inspection apparatus to prevent fluid flow through the passage during inspection or inspection apparatus movement. A guide conduit in the casing can include branches and can guide the inspection apparatus to multiple inspection sites. Guide marks can identify the branches to assist with navigation within the casing.

Optical instrument having spring-loaded sealing element at one or both sides of an end window
10025091 · 2018-07-17 · ·

An optical instrument, in particular an endoscope, with a hollow instrument housing for receiving optical elements, wherein the distal end and/or proximal end is closed in a fluid-tight manner via an end window. In order to create an optical instrument which, while being easy to assemble, ensures a reliable fluid-tight seal of the instrument housing even during autoclaving, it is proposed according to the invention that the end windows are each sealed off in a fluid-tight manner with respect to the instrument housing via at least one spring-loaded sealing element.

ENDOSCOPE APPARATUS

Apparatus for insertion into a cavity of an object, the apparatus comprising: a first tube comprising a first end, a second end and a first cavity extending between the first end and the second; a member positioned within the first cavity of the first tube and configured to enable an action to be performed; a heat pipe including a first end, a second end, and a second cavity extending between the first end and the second end, the first tube being positioned within the second cavity of the heat pipe; and an actuator configured to move the first tube relative to the heat pipe.

Endoscopic system with electrogmagnetic interference shielding

An endoscopic system can include an endoscope shaft having a proximal end and a distal end. The endoscopic system can have a sensor system that includes an electrically active sensor mounted proximate the distal end and positioned to sense at least one characteristic of an environment in which the distal end is located, a data signal transmission line connected to the sensor to transmit data signals between the sensor and a signal processor, and an electrical power transmission line connected to the sensor to transmit power to the sensor. The endoscopic system also can include a floating ground element arranged to provide an electrical reference for the sensor system. Voltage induced by an electromagnetic interference external to the endoscopic system on at least one of the data signal transmission line or electrical power line is substantially similar to the voltage induced by the electromagnetic interference on the floating ground element.

Hermetic Seal and a Method of Assembling
20180157032 · 2018-06-07 ·

A hermetic seal between an optical element and a metal mount or housing using a fluoropolymer. The fluoropolymer is dispersed along the interior edge of the metal mount. The metal mount and fluoropolymer are then heated to a temperature exceeding the melting point of the fluoropolymer. Once heated the optical element is pressed into the metal mount and allowed to cool. The metal mount, optical element and thickness of fluoropolymer are sized to provide an interference fit between the metal mount and optical element.
