The floating image-type control device includes a rotation component and a control component. The rotation component includes a fixing portion, a bearing body and a rotation shaft. The rotation shaft is connected to the bearing body. The rotation shaft rotates relative to the fixing portion to drive the bearing body to rotate. The control component includes an image capturing unit, a zero-point calibration unit and an image analysis unit. The image capturing unit is disposed on the bearing body. The image capturing unit rotates with the bearing body and continuously captures several images. The zero-point calibration unit is used to send a zero-point signal when the bearing body rotates to a predetermined angle. The image analysis unit is used to obtain an operation signal based on the images and the zero-point signal.
IMAGE DISPLAY APPARATUS
An image display apparatus according to an embodiment of the present technology includes a plurality of projection units, a screen, and an image generation unit. The plurality of projection units projects image light corresponding to image data with reference to projection axes thereof and is disposed such that the projection axes face in directions different from each other along a first plane. The screen is disposed to intersect with the first plane at a first elevation angle (φ.sub.i) and diffuses and outputs the image light projected along the first plane at a second elevation angle (φ.sub.o) different from the first elevation angle (φ.sub.i). The image generation unit generates the image data for displaying a plurality of viewpoint images corresponding to viewpoints at which the screen is observed at the second elevation angle (φ.sub.o) on the basis of the directions of the projection axes on the first plane.
Waveguide Pupil Expansion
A light engine arranged to form an image visible from a viewing window, the light engine comprising a display device for displaying a hologram of the image and spatially modulating light based on the hologram. The hologram is configured to angularly distribute spatially-modulated light of the image based on position of image content, where angular channels of the spatially-modulated light correspond with respective continuous regions of the image. The light engine further comprises a waveguide pupil expander for receiving the spatially-modulated light and providing a plurality of light propagation paths for the spatially-modulated light from the display device to the viewing window, and a control device between the waveguide and the viewing window. The control device comprises an aperture arranged such that a first viewing position receives a first channel of spatially-modulated light and a second viewing position receives a second channel of spatially-modulated light.
