ADVANCED REFRACTIVE OPTICS FOR IMMERSIVE VIRTUAL REALITY
A display device has a display, operable to generate a real image, and an optical system, comprising one or more lenslets, arranged to generate a virtual sub-image from a partial real image on the display, by each lenslet projecting light from the display to an eye position. The sub-images combine to form a virtual image viewable from the eye position. At least one lenslet is symmetric with respect to a plane, and the display surface is cylindrical with its axis perpendicular to that plane.
MIXED REALITY DISPLAY DEVICE
Examples are disclosed that relate to mixed reality display devices. One example provides a head-mounted display device comprising, a display, a lens system, and a curved Fresnel combiner. The curved Fresnel combiner is configured to direct light received from the display via the lens system toward an eyebox, and is at least partially transmissive to background light.
HIGH RESOLUTION WIDE FIELD OF VIEW DIGITAL NIGHT VISION SYSTEM
A wide field of view night vision system is described. The system comprises a head attachment apparatus configured to attach to a user's head and a night vision subsystem. The night vision subsystem comprises one or more night vision image sensors attached to the head attachment apparatus. Each sensor receives input light and produces a digital image of the input light. A processor processes the digital image(s) to produce a wide-field image. The wide-field image spans at least 60 degrees of a user's horizontal field of view. A display and eyepiece attached to the head attachment apparatus receives and displays the wide-field image. The eyepiece is positionable between the display and the user's eye to image the wide-field image into the user's eye.
BASE INTERLINING, METHODS FOR THEIR MANUFACTURE AND APPLICATION THEREOF
The invention relates to a novel binder system and its use for bonding textile fabrics as well as products containing such bonded textile fabrics. The materials according to the invention are suitable for manufacturing base interlinings which may be used for manufacturing base interlinings for sarking, roofing and sealing membranes, particularly for manufacturing coated sarking, roofing and sealing membranes.
Display with image light steering
A display device includes a directional illuminator providing a light beam, a display panel downstream of a directional illuminator, for receiving and spatially modulating the light beam, and a beam redirecting module downstream of the display panel, for variably redirecting the spatially modulated light beam. Steering the illuminating light by the beam redirecting module enables one to steer the exit pupil of the display device to match the user's eye location(s).
OBSERVATION DEVICE
In an observation device including a display device, paired ocular optical systems each include a resin lens having a shape defined by an arch and a chord, and provided with a molding gate in an outer peripheral portion of the arc shape, and is appropriately set in: a difference RC between the radius of the resin lens and the length of a line connecting the midpoint of the chord and the point on the optical axis; the diameter D of the resin lens; an angle θ between a direction connecting a midpoint of a long side of the display surface and the point on the optical axis and a direction connecting the molding gate and the point on the optical axis; and an acute angle α between directions connecting the point on the optical axis and the respective molding gates of the resin lenses in the paired ocular optical systems.
Method for adjusting field of view angle and near-eye display equipment
Embodiments of this application relate to the technical field of optical design, and disclose a method for adjusting field of view angle applied to a waveguide plate in a near-eye display equipment, the waveguide plate forms a tilt angle relative to horizontal direction of human face, the method firstly acquires refractive index, bottom angle of the waveguide plate and a required field of view angle, then calculates the tilt angle of the waveguide plate according to the refractive index and bottom angle of the waveguide plate and the field of view angle, and finally, adjusts the tilt angle to make sure the near-eye display equipment with the field of view angle; the method disclosed by this application enables the waveguide plate to realize low refractive index and large field of view angle at the same time, and features better imaging, lower cost and better stability.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MIXED REALITY
A virtual image generation system comprises a planar optical waveguide having opposing first and second faces, an in-coupling (IC) element configured for optically coupling a collimated light beam from an image projection assembly into the planar optical waveguide as an in-coupled light beam, a first orthogonal pupil expansion (OPE) element associated with the first face of the planar optical waveguide for splitting the in-coupled light beam into a first set of orthogonal light beamlets, a second orthogonal pupil expansion (OPE) element associated with the second face of the planar optical waveguide for splitting the in-coupled light beam into a second set of orthogonal light beamlets, and an exit pupil expansion (EPE) element associated with the planar optical waveguide for splitting the first and second sets of orthogonal light beamlets into an array of out-coupled light beamlets that exit the planar optical waveguide.
OPTICAL FILM DEVICE
