In one embodiment, the color specific settings comprises one or more of: colors having different resolutions, different focal distances, and different fields of view.
Wearable pupil-forming display apparatus
A wearable display apparatus is described herein. The wearable display apparatus includes a headset, a left-eye optical system, a right-eye optical system, and an inter-pupil distance (IPD) adjustment system coupled to the headset, the left-eye optical system, and the right-eye optical system for adjusting an inter-pupil spacing between the left-eye optical system and the right-eye optical system.
AR Optical System and AR Display Device
An AR optical system includes a depth-of-field separation structure corresponding to an image source, configured to convert light rays emitted from the image source into a plurality of light beams with different depths of field; a convergent lens located on an emergent light path of the depth-of-field separation structure, and configured to receive and shape the plurality of light beams with different depths of field; a first semi-transmitting semi-reflecting mirror located on a side, away from the depth-of-field separation structure, of the convergent lens, and configured to reflect the plurality of shaped light beams with different depths of field towards a set direction; a concave mirror having a preset transmission-reflection ratio configured to reflect and converge the plurality of light beams with different depths of field and then make the light beam incident to a set observation position after passing through the first semi-transmitting semi-reflecting mirror.
See-through computer display systems
Embodiments include a head-worn display including a display panel sized and positioned to produce a field of view to present digital content to an eye of a user, and a processor adapted to present the digital content to the display panel such that the digital content is only presented in a portion of the field of view, the portion being in the middle of the field of view such that horizontally opposing edges of the field of view are blank areas. The processor is adapted to shift the digital content into one of the blank areas to adjust the convergence distance of the digital content and thereby change the perceived distance from the user to the digital content.
Light flux diameter expanding element and image display device
A light flux diameter expanding element includes a light guiding plate with a light input face and a light output face, and with a thickness of 0.2 mm to 0.8 mm; a diffraction grating on the input side; and a diffraction grating on the output side, and is provided so as to have the same grating period as that of the diffraction grating on the input side, in which a forming region of the diffraction grating on the input side is smaller than that of the output side, and a grating period of the diffraction grating on the input side is a period in which a small diffraction angle in diffraction angles of +1-st order diffracted light and −1-st order diffracted light, which are diffracted in the diffraction grating on the input side, in the light guiding plate becomes larger than a critical angle of the light guiding plate.
System for and method of projecting augmentation imagery in a head-mounted display
A system for and method of projecting augmentation imagery in a head-mounted display is disclosed. A system for projecting light onto an eye includes a display to project light, a beam combiner, first and second optical systems between the display and the beam combiner along respective first and second optical paths. The first and second optical paths differ. The system also includes a switchable reflector that, in a reflective state, reflects light incident upon the reflector, and, in a non-reflective state, transmits light incident upon the reflector. The reflector is between the display and the first and second optical systems along the first and second optical paths and directs light along the first path, in the reflective state, or along the second path, in the non-reflective state, to reflect light from the beam combiner to the eye from different directions when in the different states.
Display apparatus and display unit
A display apparatus includes a display unit that projects an image to a light transmissive display member. The display unit is configured to accommodate a display device and a projection optical system that projects the image displayed on the display device to the display member in a housing including an opening through which projected light is output. The projection optical system includes a first reflecting member disposed on a display device side and a second reflecting member disposed on an opening side in an optical path extending from the display device to the opening. A reflection surface of the first reflecting member that reflects the image displayed on the display device has a convex shape of a free-form surface, and a reflection surface of the second reflecting member that projects the image to the display member has a concave shape of a free-form surface.
METHOD FOR FABRICATING A CURVED EYEPIECE

In an embodiment, the blank bodies are formed by injection molding and adhered to one another. Fabrication of the eyepiece includes variously machining the blank bodies to shape respective lens bodies of the eyepiece. One or more blocking structures are coupled to reinforce the lens blank during at least part of such machining. In another embodiment, any blocking structures that are to resist forces of a particular machining process are coupled only indirectly to one of the blank bodies.
