A reflective polarizer is disposed on and conforms to a major surface of the first optical lens where the major surface can have a best-fit spherical radius of curvature greater than about 500 mm. A retarder layer is disposed between the reflective polarizer and the partial reflector. The first optical lens can have an optical birefringence of less than 15 nm/cm and the second optical lens can have an optical birefringence of greater than 15 nm/cm. A method of fabricating an optical assembly is described.

IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE
An image display device includes a first display unit including a first frame and a first optical system, a second display unit including a second frame and a second optical system, and a fixing member configured to fix the first display unit and the second display unit relative to each other, wherein the fixing member has a shape configured to rotate the first optical system and the second optical system in rotational directions around two or more axes when the first display unit and the second display unit are aligned prior to fixing.
MODULAR AND DETACHABLE WEARABLE DEVICES FOR AR/VR/MR
A wearable device for augmented media content experiences can be formed with a mountable physical structure that has removably mountable positions and component devices that are removably mounted through the removably mountable positions. The component devices can be specifically selected based on a specific type of content consumption environment in which the wearable device is to operate. The mountable physical structure may be subject to a device washing process to which the component devices are not subject to, after the wearable device including the mountable physical structure and the component devices is used by a viewer in a content consumption session in the specific type of content consumption environment, so long as the component devices are subsequently removed from the mountable physical structure.
HOLOGRAPHIC HEAD-UP DISPLAY SYSTEM
A device and a system includes a head-up display intended to be used to display projected images on surface such as an interior surface of a vehicle windshield. The device and system more particularly relates to a holographic head-up display device, a light module comprising a light source, together with a spatial light modulator displaying a computer-generated hologram once unmodulated beams are filtered using an optical filter. Said HUD device further comprises a head-tracking system for measurement of and adjustment according to interpupillary distance, a processor circuitry for said adjustment and processing pertaining thereto to be undertaken, as well as an optical steering apparatus.
DISPLAY DEVICE WITH OPTICAL WAVEGUIDE AND PROJECTOR
A display device for use in displaying an augmented reality image of a real-world view or a virtual reality image to a user, the display device comprising an optical waveguide having an input optical element for receiving an image and at least one output optical element for outputting the image, a projector for generating the image, the projector being physically coupled to the optical waveguide, and a projector housing containing at least some components of the projector, the projector housing being relatively moveable with respect to the optical waveguide between a relative position in which a real-world view through the waveguide in the region of the at least one output optical element is occluded and a relative position in which the real-world view through the waveguide in the region of the at least one output optical element is not occluded.
Systems, devices, and methods for electrical pathways between components in wearable heads-up displays
Systems, devices, and methods for electrical connection between components of wearable heads-up displays are described. A wearable heads-up display can include a first arm and a second arm, bridged by a front frame. The first arm can carry electrical components, the second arm can carry a power source, and the front frame can carry a set of electrically conductive current paths which provide electrical coupling between the power source and the electrical components. The first arm and the second arm can each rotate about a respective hinge relative to the front frame. A flexible, dynamic set of electrically conductive current paths can couple the electrical components in the first arm to the set of electrically conductive current paths in the front frame, and another flexible, dynamic set of electrically conductive current paths can couple the power source in the second arm to the connector in the front frame.
HEAD-MOUNTED DISPLAY
A head-mounted display includes a front having a display housing and a back having a rear housing. A first member extends between the front and the back and is adjustable via an actuation of a first rotatable actuator and a first cabling mechanism. A second member extends between the front and the back and is adjustable via an actuation of a second rotatable actuator and a second cabling mechanism. A third member extends between the front and the back and is adjustable via the actuation of the second rotatable actuator and a third cabling mechanism.
Image display device
An image display device includes an inclined transparent plate, a supporting member configured to support a display device with a display to be capable of projecting the image toward the transparent plate, thereby overlapping the image with a frontal view of the object, side walls each extending along one of side faces of the transparent plate. An outline of the frontal view of the object overlaps at least a part of an outline of the image, a perspective view of the object seen through the transparent plate overlaps the image reflected by the transparent plate, and the walls sandwich the transparent plate so that two spaces at upper side and a rear side of the transparent plate are defined, the object being positioned in the rear side space, the upper side space having a brightness different from that of the rear side space.
