A head-mounted device includes a housing assembly and a headband that is connected to the housing assembly and is movable between a use position and a storage position. The head-mounted device also includes a first magnetic component that is located on the headband and a second magnetic component that is located on the headband. The first magnetic component is spaced from the second magnetic component in the use position, and the first magnetic component and the second magnetic component are magnetically attracted to each other in the storage position.

Head-mounted display systems and methods of operation that allow users to couple and decouple a portable electronic device such as a handheld portable electronic device with a separate head-mounted device (e.g., temporarily integrates the separate devices into a single unit) are disclosed. The portable electronic may be physically coupled to the head-mounted device such that the portable electronic device can be worn on the user's head. The portable electronic device may be operatively coupled to the head-mounted device such that the portable electronic device and head mounted device can communicate and operate with one another. Each device may be allowed to extend its features and/or services to the other device for the purpose of enhancing, increasing and/or eliminating redundant functions between the head-mounted device and the portable electronic device.

There is provided a head-mounted device mountable on a head with suitable clamping force, and including a front block, a mounting band, a pair of left and right first elastic members, and an adjustment mechanism to provide a technology such as a head-mounted device mountable on a head with suitable clamping force. The front block is mounted on a front side of a head. The mounting band has a rear block that is mounted on a rear side of the head and a pair of band portions that are mounted on left and right sides of the head and are capable of extending and contracting by relative movement between the rear block and the pair of band portions. The pair of first elastic members are provided between the front block and the pair of band portions. The adjustment mechanism is provided in the front block and adjusts initial tensile force of the pair of first elastic members by causing the pair of first elastic members to extend and contract in a state in which positions of the front block and the pair of band portions are fixed.

An optical member includes a base material having a front surface, and an antireflection film provided on the front surface of the base material and including a resin portion and a deformed fiber bound to the resin portion, wherein the antireflection film includes a protruding portion including the deformed fiber, on a surface of the resin portion that is on an opposite side of a side of the base material, wherein the front surface of the base material includes a protrusion portion, and wherein the protruding portion is provided above the protrusion portion.

A virtual or augmented reality headset is provided having a frame, a pair of virtual or augmented reality eyepieces, and an interpupillary distance adjustment mechanism. The frame includes opposing arm members and a bridge positioned intermediate the opposing arm members. The adjustment mechanism is coupled to the virtual or augmented reality eyepieces and operable to simultaneously move the eyepieces to adjust the interpupillary distance of the eyepieces.

A near-eye display (NED), comprising a frame comprising an outer lens, a micro-display panel coupled to the frame and comprising a processor configured to process content for display to a user wearing the NED, an augmented reality (AR) lens comprising a main prism lens, wherein the outer lens comprises at least one of a display corrector lens or a see-through corrector lens.

A head-up display (HUD) device includes a plurality of backlight units (BLUs); a base including a base plate and a base body, the base plate being configured to support the plurality of BLUs, and the base body protruding upward from the base plate; a head detachably connected to the base; a sheet of glass disposed on an upper side of the head; and a thin film transistor disposed on a top surface of the sheet of glass, wherein the head includes a material with a higher thermal conductivity than the base.

An electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device comprises a goggle frame including at least one opening on a front surface thereof; a display positioned in front of the goggle frame and facing the at least one opening; a front cover coupled to the goggle frame and accommodating the display inside; a supporter positioned on a top surface of the front cover; and a main strap fixed to the supporter and made of an elastic material.

Provided is a head-up display with enhanced manufacturability when attaching a translucent sheet. This head-up display is provided with: a display device for outputting display light; a translucent sheet that is translucent and comprises a sheet having a sheet peripheral edge; a case that accommodates the display device and has an opening that is covered by the translucent sheet and through which the display light is emitted outside through the translucent sheet, and a sheet holding part that is at an opening peripheral edge and holds the sheet peripheral edge; and a fixing frame that covers the sheet peripheral edge and fixes the translucent sheet to the sheet holding part.
