The processor adjusts a preset eye box according to a vision data to obtain an adjusted eye box, and adjusts a preset image data according to the adjusted eye box to generate an adjusted image data. The display panel is coupled to the processor and emits an image beam according to the adjusted image data. The lens module includes a micro lens array and is disposed between the display panel and a pupil. The image beam is incident on the pupil via the lens module and displays a light field image.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CALIBRATING AND EVALUATING A WEARABLE HEADS-UP DISPLAY WITH INTEGRATED CORRECTIVE PRESCRIPTION

A system and method of calibrating a head-mounted display (HMD) by positioning an optical combiner of the HMD into a holder of a calibration station such that the optical combiner is in a primary optical path of light provided from a micro-display of the HMD and a camera of the calibration station, adjusting a tunable correction unit to correct defocus caused by a corrective prescription of the optical combiner, capturing images of a reference target by the camera as viewed through the tunable correction unit and optical combiner, and generating a distortion model from the captured images and calibrating the HMD in order to apply the distortion model to images projected by the HMD.

Hinged head-mounted display

Systems and methods for a flexible, modular head-mounted display is provided. The head-mounted display system may comprise a base member and one or more arm members that are coupled to the base member. The arm member(s) may be coupled to the base member via a hinge system that allows the arm member(s) to move with respect to the base member. Interior walls of the hinge system may define a passage therethrough such that wiring may extend throughout the head-mounted display system. The head-mounted display system may further include a cover that encloses at least a portion of the hinge. The cover may overlap with the base member or the one or more arm members.

VEHICLE DISPLAY DEVICE

A head-up display device as a vehicle display device projects display light onto a front windshield of a vehicle, displays a virtual image by reflected display light, on the front windshield, so as to be superimposed on a real scene transparent through the front windshield, captures an image of a driver of the vehicle by projecting infrared light onto the driver, and detects the positions of the eyes of the driver based on the captured image. A control unit detects the position of a feature point of the face of the driver in the captured image and stores a positional relationship with the detected positions of the eyes, and, when it is difficult to detect the positions of the eyes in die captured image, estimates a viewpoint position of the driver based on the position of the feature point detected at this time and the positional relationship stored beforehand.

RETINAL PROJECTION DISPLAY SYSTEM

A retinal projection display system includes a light source for projecting an image, a scanning mirror having a field of view larger than the image, and a reflective surface on which the image is projected, wherein the reflective surface is larger than the image. The scanning mirror projects the image onto a viewable region of the reflective surface such that the image is projected into a retina of a user.

Motor vehicle and method of controlling a suspension system

A display unit in a motor vehicle presents information to a first user located in a personnel site. A frame carries the personnel site and a suspension system between the frame and the personnel site has at least one adjustable suspension characteristic. While the motor vehicle is being operated, a control system repeatedly determines a first gaze point of the first user on the display unit. Variations in a position for the first gaze point over time are analyzed; and in response thereto, the control system generates a first control signal to the suspension system so as to reduce a fluctuation of the position for the first gaze point, if a repositioning of the first gaze point is out of synchronization with a displacement of the display unit.

Method and device for adjusting pupil distance of virtual reality display device

Disclosed are a method and device for adjusting a pupil distance of a virtual reality display device. The method adjusts a second pupil distance on a virtual reality display device by means of a first pupil distance of a user wearing the virtual reality display device, the first pupil distance referring to a pupil distance of the user wearing the virtual reality display device, and the second pupil distance being used as a distance between focal points of two lenses of the virtual reality display device; the method comprises: detecting whether the first pupil distance and the second pupil distance match; if the first pupil distance and the second pupil distance do not match, then executing a preset matching operation on the virtual reality display device. The present application solves the technical problem of a virtual reality display device being bulky and heavy.

Embodiments include a head-worn display including a display panel sized and positioned to produce a field of view to present digital content to an eye of a user, and a processor adapted to present the digital content to the display panel such that the digital content is only presented in a portion of the field of view, the portion being in the middle of the field of view such that horizontally opposing edges of the field of view are blank areas. The processor is adapted to shift the digital content into one of the blank areas to adjust the convergence distance of the digital content and thereby change the perceived distance from the user to the digital content.

Projection display device

A projection display device includes a display device, an optical system, and a shielding plate. The optical system includes a first mirror and a second mirror provided on the regular optical path, the second mirrors being to provide an optical path convergence point on the regular optical path, and the first mirrors being provided at a position corresponding to the optical path convergence point. The projection display device is configured such that a position of a mirror surface of the first mirror and the second mirror is adjustable in accordance with a position of an eye point of a user so as to project the light toward the projection position that corresponds to the position of the eye point. The shielding plate is provided such that the shieling plate does not interfere with the regular optical path and such that the shielding plate interferes with the different optical path.
