FULL RESOLUTION COLOR IMAGING OF AN OBJECT

The invention relates generally to both a method and apparatus for the creation of full resolution color digital images of diagnostic cassettes or objects of interest using a gray-scale digital camera or sensor combined with time sequential illumination using additive primary colors followed by post exposure digital processing. Such procedures and equipment is of significant economic value when employed in situations such as diagnostic clinical analyzers where space is limited and image quality requirements are high.

Anti-Reflection Coated Lens for Fast Axis Collimation
20240184017 · 2024-06-06 ·

An optical system comprises a light emitter, an optical waveguide, and a lens that optically couples the light emitter to the optical waveguide. The lens has a long axis and a plurality of surfaces surrounding the long axis, the plurality of surfaces including a convex surface and a flat surface. The convex surface faces the light emitter such that light emitted by the light emitter enters the lens through the convex surface. In some examples, the lens serves as a fast axis collimation (FAC) lens. In some examples, the flat surface serves as a mounting surface to mount the lens on a substrate such that the convex surface faces the light emitter and an output surface of the lens opposite the convex surface faces the optical waveguide. In some examples, the convex surface includes an anti-reflection coating.

An inflatable light box includes securing plates and panels in association with upper and lower interior connecting planks when coupled to a cylindrical barrel in which an inflatable airbag is disposed, and encompassed by a decorative cover, form a housing for an inflatable light apparatus.

OPTICAL DISPLAY SYSTEM AND ELECTRONICS APPARATUS

An optical display system and a head-mounted display electronics apparatus are disclosed. The optical display system comprises: an image-generating apparatus, which generates image light; and an image-viewing apparatus, which guides the image light to eyes of a viewer, wherein the image-viewing apparatus comprises an imaging optical assembly and a multifocal assembly placed, the multifocal assembly has at least two optical powers and is programmable to choose at least one of the optical powers at a given time.

Apparatus and method for facilitating manual sorting of slides

The present invention includes an apparatus and method that facilitates the manual sorting of slides into slide folders. The apparatus includes a horizontal display surface and a controller configured to receive slides and folders into which the slides are to be placed (or sorted). The controller operates components of the apparatus to selectively illuminate the display surface to guide a user in placing folders at multiple folder locations and in sorting the slides into the folders. In one aspect of the invention, the apparatus is configured to allow multiple folders to be stacked at a folder location during the slide sorting process. In these aspects, the apparatus is configured to determine number of folders stacked at each folder location.

PROJECTED AUGMENTED REALITY TO OBSCURE PHYSICAL OBJECTS

The present disclosure is directed to systems, apparatuses, and processes that provide mixed reality and/or augmented reality interactive environments. Disclosed embodiments include mechanisms to determine a location of a physical object within a mixed reality environment, determine a location of a viewer within the mixed reality environment, and project a display onto the physical object or on a portion of an area within the mixed reality environment proximate to the physical object to obscure the physical object from the viewer, based upon at least the location of the physical object with respect to the location of the viewer. Other embodiments may be disclosed and/or claimed.

Multi-Image Display Structures and Kits

This invention relates to a multi-image display structure and a kit comprising: a plurality of substantially triangular optical prisms arranged in a cube-like shape, the triangular prism surfaces being plane-parallel to the top and bottom surfaces of the cube-like shape; slots configured as receptacles for pictures and/or a light-emitting displays between inward-facing quadrangular surfaces of the optical prisms, wherein at least one slot is perpendicular to a side face of the cube-like shape. The multi-image display structure may be used in advertising signs, promotional items, and/or used to display or exhibit multiple artworks, photographs, pictures and/or videos and enables switching between different images depending on the viewing angle of the observer.

ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR PROVIDING PROPERTY INFORMATION OF EXTERNAL LIGHT SOURCE FOR INTEREST OBJECT

An electronic device and method are provided guiding image capturing based on property information of an external light source. The electronic device includes a camera, a display, and a processor. The processor is configured to obtain an image using the camera; identify a face included in the image; determine a first brightness value for a first region of the identified face and a second brightness value for a second region of the identified face; determine property information of an external light source for the identified face, based on the first brightness value and the second brightness value; and provide, through the display, guide information corresponding to the property information of the external light source for the identified face.

SELECTIVE SMART DIMMING SYSTEM

A method and related system selectively dims a proper subset of a plurality of tiles (DTPTs) that are a part of a contiguous dimmable transparent panel (DTP). Using a processor and in a real-time continuous feedback loop, the method comprises detecting, using a light source detector with an outward facing sensor, a location of an illumination source within a volume adjacent to an outside surface of the DTP. The method further comprises determining, using a head/eye detector with an inward facing sensor, a viewer's gaze direction within a volume adjacent to an inside surface of the DTP. The method further comprises determining a panel intersection point for a light ray extending from the illumination source location along the viewer's gaze direction. Finally, the method comprises selectively dimming the proper subset of DTPTs proximate the panel intersection point.
