NON-LINEAR OPTICAL PUMPING DETECTION APPARATUS AND NON-LINEAR OPTICAL ABSORPTION CROSS-SECTION MEASUREMENT METHOD
A non-linear optical pumping detection apparatus and a non-linear optical absorption cross-section measurement method, which can simultaneously measure degenerate and non-degenerate two-photon absorption cross-section spectra. The measurement process is automatic, efficient and fast. The working wavelength band is from 380 nm to near infrared 1064 nm, and the non-linear performance measurement of the super-continuous wide spectra can be realized. A zoom optical system with a larger entrance pupil diameter is adopted as a weak signal acquisition lens. So the weak signal can be effectively extracted from background noise. Meanwhile, the mean square root diameter of an on-axis image point of the zoom optical system is 100 to 150 microns, the divergence angle 2α of the on-axis image point is 30.6 degrees, which well match the optical fiber coupling condition, thereby improving the coupling efficiency of the space light coupling into the optical fiber, and greatly improving the measurement sensitivity.
EXTERNAL POWER BANK AND COLLAPSIBLE HOLOGRAPHIC PROJECTION ACCESSORY FOR PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE
A power bank and holographic projection accessory intended for use with a portable electronic device. The accessory includes a holographic projection unit and an external power bank case attachable to the holographic projection unit. The external power bank case is configured to provide power to the holographic projection unit and to provide a video signal generated by the portable electronic device to the holographic projection unit. The holographic projection unit generates volumetric projections based upon the video signal.
ADPATIVE HOLOGRAPHIC PROJECTION SYSTEM WITH USER TRACKING
A holographic display system including an electronic device, a camera and a holographic projection unit. The holographic projection unit is configured to generate a volumetric projection for viewing by a user in response to a rendering signal provided by a volumetric display application executing on the electronic device. The holographic projection unit includes a housing, a projector at least partially disposed within the housing and operative to display images based upon the rendering information, and a semi-reflective element being oriented to reflect light from the images in order to create the volumetric projection. The camera is oriented such that the user is within a field of view, the camera being operative to provide the image information to the volumetric display application for determination of a position of the user. The volumetric projection is adapted in response to the position of the user.
Light-sheet microscope with parallelized 3D image acquisition
This disclosure includes an imaging system that is configured to image in parallel multiple focal planes in a sample uniquely onto its corresponding detector while simultaneously reducing blur on adjacent image planes. For example, the focal planes can be staggered such that fluorescence detected by a detector for one of the focal planes is not detected, or is detected with significantly reduced intensity, by a detector for another focal plane. This enables the imaging system to increase the volumetric image acquisition rate without requiring a stronger fluorescence signal. Additionally or alternatively, the imaging system may be operated at a slower volumetric image acquisition rate (e.g., that of a conventional microscope) while providing longer exposure times with lower excitation power. This may reduce or delay photo-bleaching (e.g., a photochemical alteration of the dye that causes it to no longer be able to fluoresce), thereby extending the useful life of the sample.
Systems and methods of remote video production, and apparatus therefor
A portable remote controlled video production apparatus and method are provided, as is a teleprompter/Interrotron integrated with a camera. A computer is mounted in a rigid cage, the computer having a local portion of remote access remote control software. A camera is fixedly mounted in the cage in communication with the computer; either the camera or the computer have camera control software running thereon. A monitor is fixedly mounted in the cage in front of the camera and parallel to the lens axis; the monitor is in communication with the computer. A beamsplitter is fixedly mounted in the cage in front of the lens reflecting light from the monitor towards a front of the cage. The camera and computer are controllable remotely via a remote portion of the remote access remote control software running on a remote computer communicating with the local portion of the remote access remote control software.
DUAL-REFLECTOR OPTICAL COMPONENT
A folded-path optical component usable as an ocular lens in a near-eye display is disclosed. The folded-path optical component includes a cavity formed by a pair of spaced apart coaxial curved reflective polarizers, and a partial reflector in the cavity for splitting an impinging light beam to propagate along two optical paths ending at an exit pupil of the optical component. Each optical path includes a reflection from one of the reflective polarizers and a transmission through the other one of the reflective polarizers.
SERIES OF STACKED CONFOCAL PULSE STRETCHERS FOR SPECKLE REDUCTION
An extended optical pulse stretcher is provided that combines confocal pulse stretchers in combination to produce, for example, 4 reflections, 4 reflections, 12 reflections, and 12 reflections per optical circuit configuration. The inclusion of the combination of different mirror separations and delay path lengths can result in very long pulse stretching, long optical delays, and minimal efficiency losses. Also, in the extended optical pulse stretcher, at least a beam splitter can be positioned relative to the center of curvature of the mirrors to “flatten” each of the circuits to enable the beam to propagate in the same plane (e.g., parallel to the floor). Also, the curvatures and sizes of the individual mirrors can be designed to position the beam splitter closer to one of the banks of mirrors to allow the optical pulse stretchers to properly fit in an allocated location in a laser system.
Device for decoupling part of the radiation of an observation beam path of binoculars that is freely selectable at any time
A device for outcoupling a portion of the radiation of an observation beam path of a binocular eyepiece for documentation or co-observation that is freely selectable at any time. For the outcoupling, a rotatable supporting unit, the axis of rotation of which is parallel to the axes of the observation beam paths, is arranged in the housing having the binocular eyepiece. Three optical elements are arranged on this supporting unit such that an outer and the middle optical element and, after rotation of the supporting unit, the middle and the other outer optical element are each located in one of the observation beam paths. Here, the two outer optical elements have a beam-splitting effect and outcouple a portion of the observation radiation into a common documentation beam path.
