[Object] To provide a hinge mechanism that allows a head-mounted display to be made more compact, and a head-mounted display including this hinge mechanism. [Solving Means] A hinge mechanism includes: a shaft portion; and a cable passing portion. The shaft portion supports a housing portion and a temple portion of the head-mounted display in such a way that the temple portion is capable of rotating about one axis between a closed position and an open position relative to the housing portion. The cable passing portion is adjacent to the shaft portion in a direction of the one axis, and allows a cable to pass therethrough in a direction orthogonal to the one axis.

Eyewear having a frame, a hinge, and a hyperextendable temple. An extender is coupled to the hinge and the temple, and the extender extends with respect to the hinge allowing hyperextension of the temple with respect to the frame. The extender may include a bushing and a spring that allows the temple hyperextension, and which also creates a bias force to urge the temple against a user's head during use.

HYPEREXTENDING HINGE HAVING COSMETIC TRIM FOR EYEWEAR

Eyewear having a frame, a hinge, and a hyperextendable temple. An extender is coupled to the hinge and the temple, and the extender extends with respect to the hinge allowing hyperextension of the temple with respect to the frame. A cam is configured to leverage the temple away from the frame during hyperextension and reduce wear. A cosmetic trim may include a recess that receives a protrusion of the frame in the open position, and which protrusion moves out of the recess during hyperextension and creates the cam.

AUDIO EYEGLASSES WITH DOUBLE-DETENT HINGE

Various aspects include audio eyeglasses with a frame including: a lens region; a pair of arms extending from the lens region; a hinge coupling each of the pair of arms with the lens region; and a cable extending through each hinge, where each hinge includes: a body defining a cavity accommodating the cable; and a hinge mechanism within the body, the hinge mechanism having: a spring located in the lens region, the spring including at least one lever arm extending within the cavity; and a cam member contacting the lever arm of the spring, where the cam member includes: a first contact surface for resisting kickback from the spring when the audio eyeglasses are in a fully open position, and a second, distinct contact surface for resisting kickback from the spring when the audio eyeglasses are in a fully closed position.

The present disclosure provides a glasses. The glasses may include a glasses frame and two speakers. The glasses frame may include a glasses rim and two glasses temples. The two glasses temples may be rotatably connected to the glasses rim, respectively. For each of the two speakers, the speaker may include an earphone core and a core housing. The speaker may be connected to one of the two glasses temples via a hinge component connected thereto. The hinge component may be rotatable to change a position of the speaker relative to the glasses temple. The core housing may include a contact surface. The contact surface may include a gradient structure for causing an uneven distribution of pressure on the contact surface when in contact with a user. The glasses temple connected to the speaker may include at least one of a control circuit or a battery. The at least one of the control circuit or the battery may drive the earphone core of the speaker to vibrate to generate sound. The glasses of the present disclosure may meet various requirements of people when wearing glasses, and a hinge state of the glasses may be switched easily, thereby providing convenience for users.
