Method for producing a customized progressive ophthalmic lens
A method for producing a customized progressive ophthalmic lens intended for a wearer having a prescription for a wearer's eye corresponding to said lens, the method comprising the following steps: a) providing an initial progressive ophthalmic lens design having a meridian line; b) providing binocular convergence data for the wearer; and c) modifying the initial design so that the meridian line is laterally shifted in position with respect to said initial design, for matching the convergence data provided at step b), for said prescription, and the modified design as resulting from step c) is used for the customized lens, wherein step b) comprises the following substeps: b1) providing a visual stimulus in a sagittal plane of the wearer; and b2) moving the visual stimulus within the sagittal plane between a predetermined maximum distance and a predetermined minimum distance.
Method for optical design of a pair of ophthalmic lenses and pair of ophthalmic lenses thus obtained
Disclosed is a method for optical design of a pair of ophthalmic lenses for correcting spherical and cylindrical refractive errors of the eyes of a wearer, including a step of defining the need for spherical and cylindrical correction of the wearer for various viewing distances, and a step of determining the spherical and cylindrical power of the ophthalmic lenses at viewing points with various proximities, in accordance with the correction needs of the wearer. The power of at least one of the two ophthalmic lenses is determined such as to limit the deviation obtained therebetween upon adding equivalent spherical power between the viewing points with various proximities and/or varying the cylindrical power vector between the viewing points with various proximities. Also disclosed is a pair of ophthalmic lenses designed according to such a method.
Method for making a spectacle lens
The invention is directed to a method for making a spectacle lens for a non-presbyopic person wherein the spectacle lens is a ready-to-wear lens and has at least one zone having an optical effect to reduce vision stress. In the method, at least one of the following is provided: the contour of the ready-to-wear spectacle lens and one or several visual points whereat the person looks through the ready-to-wear spectacle lens for one or several visual tasks in the near range. This method step is followed by setting at least one of: a design reference point of the zone, the extent of the zone, the optical effect within the zone based on the provided contour, and the visual points. The spectacle lens is then made with this zone.

OPHTHALMIC LENS DESIGN INCORPORATING A VISUAL ACUITY PROFILE
Methods for ophthalmic lens design incorporating a visual acuity profile are disclosed. The methods include applying rules and functions to visual acuity profile data and an ophthalmic prescription to generate ophthalmic lens parameters for a subject. The visual acuity profile data includes a maximum visual acuity for the subject. The visual acuity profile data may also include a focus tolerance or tolerable blur. Tolerable blur may be measured by an ophthalmic professional or extrapolated. The visual acuity profile data may also include eye physical data such as pupil diameter and eye size, accommodation, retinal photoreceptor cell packing information and neural processing information. The visual acuity profile data may also include personal biographic and/or medical information for the subject.
Method for determining an optical criterion for a design of a sport-adapted optical lens
A method for determining an optical design criterion for designing an optical lens adapted to a sport practice, the method including: defining an evaluation axis for evaluating sensory/motor/cognitive requirement of a sport practice, for each of a plurality of sports; attributing a score to the sport practice on each evaluation axis; determining clusters of sports in which practices have similar score; determining at least one visual need corresponding to each cluster of sports; determining, for each cluster, at least one optical design criterion as a function of the associated visual need; and storing in a memory a record for each cluster, along with each optical design criterion associated with the cluster.
EYEWEAR WITH PRESCRIPTION AND LASER PROTECTION
A lens blank includes a first layer and a second layer. The first layer has an anterior surface and a posterior surface and is formed of a base material and one or more energy absorptive dyes generally uniformly dispersed throughout the base material. The one or more dyes are configured to absorb electromagnetic energy. The second layer is bonded or permanently attached to the posterior surface of the first layer and is formed of a generally clear base material.
Systems and methods for augmented reality
Methods for augmented reality, and to lenses, systems and methods for improving visual comfort of a wearer equipped with a head-mounted device configured for display of information content.
DEVICE FOR TESTING THE VISUAL BEHAVIOR OF A PERSON, AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING AT LEAST ONE OPTICAL DESIGN PARAMETER OF AN OPHTHALMIC LENS USING SUCH A DEVICE
A device for testing visual behavior of a person, including: an active display configured to display at least one visually predominant target in a plurality of positions that are variable over time and that are aligned along at least one line or column, and a unit for controlling the display. The unit is programmed so that consecutive display positions of the target follow, over time, a visual tracking protocol.
METHOD FOR DETERMINING A VISUAL BEHAVIOR PARAMETER OF A PERSON, AND RELATED TESTING DEVICE
Disclosed is a method for determining at least one visual behavior parameter of a person. The method includes the following steps: a step of encouraging the person to perform a visual test during which he observes at least one target position, a step of measuring an item of data that is representative of at least one viewing direction of the person during the visual test, a step of determining a reference viewing direction on the basis of the representative data measured, and a step of positioning, relative to the reference viewing direction, at least one measured target position that is determined, in a reference marker associated with the head of the person, on the basis of the data that is representative of the viewing direction of the person measured during the visual test.
