A method for displaying virtual content to a user, the method includes determining an accommodation of the user's eyes. The method also includes delivering, through a first waveguide of a stack of waveguides, light rays having a first wavefront curvature based at least in part on the determined accommodation, wherein the first wavefront curvature corresponds to a focal distance of the determined accommodation. The method further includes delivering, through a second waveguide of the stack of waveguides, light rays having a second wavefront curvature, the second wavefront curvature associated with a predetermined margin of the focal distance of the determined accommodation.
LIGHTING SYSTEM AND IMAGING METHOD USING INCOHERENCE LIGHT
A lighting system includes a light source having a broad emission spectrum, a spatial light modulator configured to modulate one or more of phase and amplitude of light irradiated from the light source to a target object, and a detector configured to detect light intensity being reflected from the target object. Additionally, the lighting system includes circuitry configured to divide an emission spectrum of light irradiated from a light source into a plurality of wavelength ranges, measure irradiated light formed with a first wavelength range to the target object, calculate a transmission matrix based on the measurement, calculate a set of other transmission matrixes, calculate a set of patterns for generating a plurality of localized illuminations, drive the spatial light modulator by a modulation signal which forms an irradiation pattern, and scan the plurality of localized illuminations on the target object.
APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR BACKSCATTERING ELIMINATION VIA SPATIAL AND TEMPORAL MODULATIONS
An image capture apparatus includes a light source, a modulator configured to modulate light irradiated from the light source to a target object, an imaging device configured to generate image data by capturing one or more images of the target object, and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to drive the modulator by a first modulation signal, the first modulation signal being for irradiating a first pattern, drive the modulator by a second modulation signal, the second signal being for irradiating a second pattern, wherein the first pattern and the second pattern are irradiated alternately, modulate reflected light from the target object, the reflected light from the target object being detected at a lock-in detector, and generate an image composed of image data from the reflected light of the plurality of localized illuminations.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ASSOCIATION ASSISTED ESTABLISHMENT OF SCATTERING CONFIGURATION IN SCATTERING PROCESSING
A system for association-based scattering processing includes a spatial light modulator configured to modulate one or more of phase and amplitude of light irradiated from a light source to a target object. Additionally, the system includes processing circuitry configured to evaluate a field distribution for one localized illumination, induce a set of field distributions for a plurality of localized illuminations based on the field distribution for the one localized illumination, and apply the set of field distributions to the spatial light modulator, scanning a plurality of localized illuminations on the target object.

The present disclosure provides a light beam collimation structure, a substrate, a backlight module, and a display apparatus. The light beam collimation structure comprises: a lens (21) having a first primary axis (212) and a first focus (211), the lens is used for transmitting and collimating light from the first focus into parallel light in parallel with the first primary axis; a grating structure (22) disposed outside of a region formed by the first focus and a clear aperture of the lens and in a direction of the first primary axis, located between the lens and the first focus, the grating structure including a transmissive grating (221) for transmitting and collimating light from the first focus into parallel light in parallel with the first primary axis.
Lighting device
A lighting device includes a substrate including a display area and a non-display area and an organic light emitting layer disposed in the display area. A first electrode is disposed on the organic light emitting layer and a second electrode is disposed below the organic light emitting layer. A phase change material layer is disposed below the second electrode and a plurality of third electrodes is disposed between the substrate and the phase change material layer. Therefore, a pattern having various colors of light and various shapes may be implemented based on a shape of the plurality of third electrodes, a phase change of the phase change material layer, and a color of light emitted from the organic light emitting layer.

Compounds With Circularly Polarized Luminescence
The present subject matter relates to a fluorescent compound having aggregation-induced emission (AIE) characteristics. The compound can be a rod-like chiral luminogen bearing a chiral moiety at one end and long aliphatic chains at an opposing end. The compound emits circularly polarized light or luminescence (CPL) in the aggregate state. For example, the compound does not exhibit a chiroptical signal when dispersed in solution, but demonstrates tunable CPL signals in the aggregate state.

The system also includes a plurality of waveguides to receive the plurality of light beams and to direct the plurality of light beams toward an exit pupil, wherein the plurality of waveguides are stacked along an optical axis of the user. The system further includes at least one optical element to modify a focus of a light beam of the plurality of light beams directed by the plurality of waveguides.
