Automatic illumination control apparatus for adjusting output of illumination device depending upon distance between subject and illumination device
An automatic illumination control apparatus for adjusting an output of an illumination device depending upon a distance between a subject and the illumination device, includes: a distance measuring sensor installed at a position close to the illumination device to measure distance information between the illumination device and the subject; and an illumination managing unit configured to generate a management signal including an illumination intensity of illumination which is outputted from the illumination device according to the distance information, and send the management signal to the illumination device. With the present invention, even though the subject comes toward or away from the main illumination device and thus the distance between the subject and the illumination is changed, the illumination intensity indicative of the subject and the space around the subject and the color temperature can be constantly maintained, thereby obtaining the still picture or the motion picture with constant quality.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SIMULATING ANIMATION OF AN OBJECT
Systems and methods for simulating animation of an object are provided. Such systems and methods include capturing a first sequence of images of the object with a camera while in an activated lighting apparatus, importing the first sequence of images into a first stage video file having a preconfigured size and masked off such that the first surface appears over a first background, and incorporating the first stage video file into a template of a three-dimensional (3D) model by aligning the first surface with a video mask of the template such that the video mask obscures the first background of the first stage video file and superimposes a location of the first surface in the first stage video file onto a virtual surface of the 3D model.
System and Method for Product Photography
A system and method for product photography includes a movable display configured to travel along a path wherein the movable display provides illumination onto a photographic subject visible to at least one camera configured for long exposure photography where the movable display creates one or more digital light paintings at least partially visible to the camera, and a mechanical means for movement of the movable display. The invention employs a method of capturing a photographic image of an object including the steps of selecting an image for the movable display, using at least one camera to capture long exposure images, positioning one or more photographic subjects, positioning one or more cameras, focusing the one or more cameras, beginning capture of a long exposure, using a movable display to create a digital light painting effect, ending capture of the long exposure, and storing the image in memory.
Illumination device for a simulation arrangement for motor vehicle accidents
The illumination device comprises a plurality of illumination units (21), each illumination unit (21) comprising a light source (21.1) for emitting a radiation beam (21.1A) and at least one laser beam source (21.2) for emitting at least one laser beam (21.2A), and a plurality of actuator means (22), wherein each actuator means (22) is connected to an illumination unit (21) and is adapted to change an orientation of the illumination unit (21) based on a detected beam direction of the laser beam (21.2A).

SYSTEMS AND METHODS RELATING TO DOCUMENT AND FASTENER IDENTIFICATION
Method and systems of automated document processing described herein include activating in sequence a plurality of illumination modules of an illumination source to illuminate a document, where the plurality of illumination modules are located at different positions relative to the document. The document can be imaged each time the document is illuminated by an illumination module to provide a plurality of images. A shadow profile of the document can be obtained based on the plurality of images. One or more of a boundary of the document and presence of a fastener attached to the document can be identified using the shadow profile. Any fasteners present may be removed using a robot arm.
