Projection video display apparatus with variable light adjustment for multi-screen projection mode
A projection video display apparatus includes a video input unit, a light source, a display element, a projection optical system, and a variable light adjusting function which changes the amount of light incident on the display element. Display modes using the variable light adjusting function are prepared, and one display mode of the display modes can be selected from a menu screen. Further, the display modes of the display video using the variable light adjusting function includes: a first display mode where the input video is displayed while changing a light adjusting amount in accordance with light adjusting control information, which is input from external equipment and is capable of controlling the variable light adjusting function in unit of frame of a projected video; and a second display mode where the input video is displayed while changing a light adjusting amount in accordance with the input video.
Video projector and video display method
To provide a video projector which improves visibility in response to changes in projection environment, a video projector has an initial level setter, a level adjuster, a projection display, an image capture, and a projection histogram calculator. The initial level setter performs a prescribed initial level setting on an input video signal and outputs an initial display signal. The level adjuster adjusts the level of the initial display signal on the basis of a projection image and outputs a display signal. The image capture captures the projection image projected on a projection surface by the projection display based on the display signal. The projection histogram calculator prepares a projection histogram for each color. The level adjuster adjusts the level of the initial display signal for each color on the basis of the projection histogram.
LED illumination with red laser assist
A system includes a red light emitting diode (LED), a blue LED, and a green LED. The system also includes a red laser, a first filter, a second filter, and a lens. The system includes a first optical path that includes the red LED, the red laser, the first filter, the second filter, and the lens, where the first filter has a filter response to transmit red light from the red laser and to reflect red light from the red LED. The system also includes a second optical path that includes the blue LED, the green LED, the second filter, and the lens, where the second filter has a filter response to transmit blue light from the blue LED, to transmit green light from the green LED, to reflect red light from the red laser, and to reflect red light from the red LED.
System and method for a multi-primary wide gamut color system
The present invention includes systems and methods for a multi-primary color system for display. A multi-primary color system increases the number of primary colors available in a color system and color system equipment. Increasing the number of primary colors reduces metameric errors from viewer to viewer. One embodiment of the multi-primary color system includes Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Yellow, and Magenta primaries. The systems of the present invention maintain compatibility with existing color systems and equipment and provide systems for backwards compatibility with older color systems.
Projector including a semiconductor light emitting element and a color wheel, projection control device, and storage medium
A projector of the present invention includes a light source unit including a semiconductor light emitting element and a color wheel and emitting lights in first and second wavelength ranges in time division, a display device receiving light source light to form image light, a projection optical system for projecting the image light onto a projection target, a delay time setting module for shifting a start timing of a color mixing period when the lights in the first and second wavelength ranges are emitted in a mixed fashion in a spoke period of the color wheel during which emissions of the lights in the first and second wavelength ranges are switched over based on an index indicating a brightness of light from the light source unit, and a light source driving module for driving the light source unit based on a setting set by the delay time setting module.
Methods and systems for high dynamic range image projectors
Projection systems and/or methods for efficient use of light by recycling a portion of the light energy for future use are disclosed. In one embodiment, a projection display system is disclosed comprising a light source; an integrating rod that receives light from said light source at a proximal end that comprise a reflective surface which may reflecting/recycle light down said integrating rod; of reflecting light down said integrating rod; a relay optical system, said relay optical system further comprising optical elements that are capable of moving the focal plane of the projector display system; and a modulator comprising at least one moveable mirror that reflects light received from the integrating rod in either a projection direction or a light recycling direction.
