IMAGE DISPLAY APPARATUS
An image display apparatus according to an embodiment of the present technology includes an image display unit, a calculator, and a notification section. The image display unit includes an emission surface and displays an image by emitting light from the emission surface. The calculator calculates a reference distance from the emission surface, the reference distance serving as a determination criteria for an influence of emitted light that is emitted from the image projection section. The notification section notifies about information on the influence of the emitted light on the basis of the calculated reference distance.

A light source which has a housing accommodating a light source lamp and having an exhaust port, a duct, and a fan are provided. The duct has an inlet facing the exhaust port, a branching part which branches air from the inlet, a duct part extending in a first direction orthogonal to an opening plane of the exhaust port, and a duct part extending in a second direction intersecting with the first direction. The fan is arranged in a position for sucking the air circulating through the duct part. The duct part has a plurality of sidewall parts, an opening, and a mesh.
Image projection apparatus
An image projection apparatus including a light source, a projection unit to project light from the light source, a dust-proof member to protect the projection unit from outside dust and through which light from the light source passes, a light detector provided at an end surface of the dust-proof member to detect reflected light of light projected from the projection unit, the reflected light being internally reflected light trapped within the dust-proof member, and a controller that executes a protective action when the amount of internally reflected light detected by the light detector meets or exceeds a predetermined threshold value.
PROJECTION DEVICE
A projection device includes multiple optical fiber mounting mechanisms. Each of the optical fiber mounting mechanisms includes an optical fiber extending along a first direction as an axis direction, a signal circuit extending along the first direction, and a mounting structure. The optical fiber includes an engaging section. The mounting structure surrounds the engaging section of the optical fiber and the signal circuit. The mounting structure includes an installation portion extending radially relative to the first direction. The installation portion includes a surface and multiple elements exposed from the surface. The surface includes a normal direction parallel with the first direction. A first length of the engaging section of the optical fiber protruding from the surface of the installation portion is longer than lengths of the elements protruding from the surface.
Projector with a therm-sensitive component for overheating protection
A projector includes an apparatus casing, a light source module, a flow generating device, a sensing module, and a power module. The light source module is disposed inside the apparatus casing and includes a light-emitting part and a lampshade surrounding the light-emitting part. The flow generating device can generate an air flow for dissipating heat by the light source module. The sensing module is disposed in the apparatus casing and includes a thermo-sensitive component disposed near the lampshade and located in a flowing path of the air flow. The power module is disposed in the apparatus casing and electrically connected to the light source module and the sensing module. The power module selectively stops powering the light source module according to an electric parameter of the thermo-sensitive component. Thereby, the invention protects the projector from being overheated by use of the thermo-sensitivity of the thermo-sensitive component.

An air filter includes a filter body configured to trap dust contained in air passing therethrough and a holding frame configured to surround an end edge of the filter body, and the holding frame is formed of a resilient material. The holding frame includes a first surface on a proximal end side in a direction of travel of air passing through the filter body, and a second surface on a distal end side in the direction of travel, and one of the first surface and the second surface is provided with a projecting portion.

A light source device includes a first light source to emit first light having a first wavelength range; a wavelength convertor, disposed on an optical path of the first light, to receive the first light to emit light having other wavelength range different from the first wavelength range; a cyclical movement unit to cyclically move the wavelength convertor while crossing the optical path of the first light; optical parts to define an optical path of the first light, and an optical path of the light emitted from the wavelength convertor; a detector to detect a cyclic movement condition of the cyclical movement unit; and a received light quantity reducing unit to reduce light quantity of the first light received by the wavelength convertor when a cyclic movement condition detected by the detector satisfies an abnormal condition while outputting the first light or the light having other wavelength range to outside.
COOLING STRUCTURE FOR LIGHT SOURCE DEVICE AND PROJECTOR
A cooling structure for a light source device includes a light source, a heat dissipation plate having a mounting surface on which the light source is mounted, a plurality of heat dissipation fins arranged at intervals at intervals in a first direction along a back surface of the heat dissipation plate, and a blower fan that blows air toward the back surface via the plurality of heat dissipation fins. The plurality of heat dissipation fins are provided with a cover that is provided at each first end of the plurality of heat dissipation fines in a second direction along the back surface and covers a region corresponding to each distal end of the plurality of heat dissipation fins extending from the back surface toward the blower fan in a gap between the heat dissipation fins adjacent in the first direction. The plurality of first ends do not protrude outside the first edge of the heat dissipation plate in the second direction. An opening is formed at a position of the plurality of first ends corresponding to each basal end of the plurality of heat dissipation fins such that the gap between adjacent heat dissipation fins faces the outside of the plurality of heat dissipation fins.
PROJECTION DISPLAY DEVICE
A projection display device includes a light source; and an optical system unit configured to process a light from the light source and to emit the light outside the projection display device. The optical system unit includes an outer shell member having an emission opening positioned at a position from which the light is emitted; and a transparent member disposed at the emission opening of the outer shell member at the emission opening. The transparent member is retained at a retention temperature which is higher by 1 C. or more than an inner-wall temperature of the outer shell member after a light source has been turned off.
