Multilayered screens for scanning beam display systems
A display screen includes a filter layer, a fluorescent layer having parallel fluorescent stripes, and an attachment layer between an excitation side of the fluorescent layer and a first side of the filter layer to attach the excitation side of fluorescent layer to the filter layer while providing vertical separation therebetween. The attachment layer includes attachment regions that are separated from each other by lateral spacings such that excitation-side air gaps are formed between areas of the fluorescent layer and the filter layer that correspond to the lateral spacings. During display operation, excitation light received on a second side of the filter layer propagates through to the first side of the filter layer, and at least a portion of the excitation light that propagates from the second side of the filter layer travels through the excitation-side air gaps to excite the fluorescent stripes.
HIGH CONTRAST PROJECTION SCREEN
An image display system includes a reflecting screen that has a reflecting surface. The reflecting surface includes hologram which reflects narrow bands of spectrum of incident lights toward desired direction. A projection display system includes a reflecting mirror(s) with hologram so that the image can be projected nearly vertical or short distance. This invention can be used as a head-up-display with improved brightness and eliminating ghost noise.
Active video projection screen coordinating grayscale values of screen with color pixels projected onto screen
Instead of a monochromatic projection screen, an active projection screen is provided which varies reflectance and gray level (black to white) in synchronization with the content being shown. Groups of multiple screen pixels, which are smaller than each projected pixel from the projector, are assigned to each respective larger projection pixel.
NON-STRAIGHT SEAMING
Implementations described herein generally relate to the use of display screens. More specifically, implementations generally relate to a large format transmissive and self-emissive display screen where the display screen includes multiple screens coupled together using transparent adhesive tape. Implementations described herein minimize internal reflections visible to screen viewers when an edge of the adhesive layer is scanned by a beam spot produced by a scanning beam in a scanning beam system having multiple screens held together by the adhesive layer to form a seamless viewing screen. In some implementations, the internal reflections are minimized by applying the adhesive layer between horizontal and vertical seams between each screen of the multiple screens wherein the adhesive layer has non-straight edges so as to minimize the total surface area of the edge of the adhesive layer that falls within the beam spot produced by the scanning beam.
REDUCING ANGULAR SPREAD IN DIGITAL IMAGE PROJECTION
Chromatic aberration can be reduced and extreme projection angles can be allowed in a projection system by modifying one color channel of light having a wavelength bandwidth with image data to produce imaged light, causing the imaged light to spread angularly when displaying the imaged light through an optical distorting element onto a screen, and reducing angular spread of the imaged light exiting the optical distorting element by adjusting the wavelength bandwidth.
PROJECTION DEVICE AND PROJECTION METHOD
A projection apparatus includes a projection component, a camera device, and at least one processor in connection with the camera device and the projection component respectively. The at least one processor is configured to execute instructions to cause the display apparatus to: in response to a projection command input from a user, control the projection component to project a first graphic card onto a screen, and obtain a first image taken by the camera device for the first graphic card; cut the first graphic card in the first image to obtain a first graphic card image; perform binarization processing on the first graphic card image, and obtain a white connected region in the first graphic card image based on a binarization result; position a to-be-projected region based on the white connected region; and control the projection component to project a to-be-projected content to the to-be-projected region.
IMAGE PROJECTION DEVICE AND IMAGE PROJECTION CONTROL METHOD
An image projection device may comprise: a ToF sensor configured to measure a distance to a target; a lamp assembly configured to output an image signal including a pattern image; an operation unit which controls the lens assembly to move in one axis direction; and a processor which measures a distance to a screen by means of the ToF sensor and controls the pattern image outputted through the lamp assembly to be projected on the screen. The processor may calculate a sharpness value of the pattern image projected on the screen through the lamp assembly, and adjust the size of the pattern image and a position at which the pattern image is projected on the basis of the calculated sharpness value.
