Undergarment Assembly
20190320730 · 2019-10-24 ·

An undergarment assembly for inhibiting bulges resulting from an elastic undergarment includes a garment for wearing over brassiere and beneath clothing. The garment is comprised of a deformable and non-elastic material such that said garment does not constrict when said garment is worn. In this way the garment is inhibited from forming bulges on a user's torso that may be visible through the clothing. The garment includes a pair of straps and each of the straps is releasably attached to a respective pair of brassiere straps to retain the garment on the user.

Thermal garments with reduced weight and bulk and improved packability include targeted zones of increased thermal resistive properties. Such garments may include: (a) a first garment region extending along a central back portion of the garment from the waist area of the garment to the neck area; (b) second and third garment regions extending along the sides of the garment from the waist area to the underarm area; and (c) a fourth garment region extending between the first and second garment regions, between the first and third garment regions, and between the second and third garment regions. The fourth garment region includes a thermal material having a lower thermal resistive value than the thermal resistive values of the thermal materials associated with the first, second, and third garment regions. Methods of making such garments also are described.

An undergarment in one embodiment includes a tubular torso portion with straps comprising a resiliently deformable material, long enough to about cover a portion of the intended wearer's buttocks and is made of a deformable material with a modulus low enough that the garment will not bunch up while being worn, while having sufficient modulus so that the portion of the garment that at least partially covers the buttocks remains snug and causes the garment to adhere to the intended wearer's buttocks so as to prevent the garment from substantially shifting out of position.
