An image forming apparatus includes an exposure head including light emitting elements arranged in an intersecting direction intersecting with a rotation direction of a photosensitive member to form an image at a first resolution corresponding the light emitting elements in the intersecting direction; a data generating unit configured to generate pixel data corresponding to a second resolution higher than the first resolution associating with positions of the pixel data; a correction unit configured to correct associations between the positions and the pixel data to adjust a position of an image in the intersecting direction; a conversion unit configured to convert the pixel data corresponding to the second resolution to pixel data corresponding to the first resolution; and a drive unit configured to drive the light emitting elements based on the pixel data corresponding to the first resolution.

A light emitter includes: plural light emitting thyristors that each have an anode, a cathode, and a gate and are connected in parallel between a reference voltage line to which a reference voltage is supplied and a lighting voltage line to which a lighting start voltage for starting lighting is supplied, in which the anode and the cathode are connected respectively to the reference voltage line and the lighting voltage line; and a gate voltage setting section that, when at least one of the plural light emitting thyristors transitions from an off-state to an on-state, sets a voltage on the gate of each of the plural light emitting thyristors to a voltage between the lighting start voltage and an on-state voltage of the light emitting thyristor.

A semiconductor light-emitting device includes a semiconductor stacked structure including a light-emitting layer, a metal electrode provided over the semiconductor stacked structure and having an opening for externally emitting a light emitted from the light-emitting layer, and a transparent electrode provided over the semiconductor stacked structure inside the opening and over the metal electrode.

An exposure apparatus includes: a substrate that extends in a longitudinal direction intersecting with a gravity direction and has light emitting elements emitting light toward a gravity direction; a housing that extends in the longitudinal direction, to which the substrate is attached; a support section that supports both end side portions of the housing in the longitudinal direction against gravity; and a structure section having a weight that is attached to an intermediate portion of the housing in the longitudinal direction and supported by the support section in the gravity direction.

An image forming apparatus includes a photoconductor, a light emitting substrate, and imaging optical systems, wherein an optical axis of the imaging optical systems are parallel, imaging magnifications of the imaging optical systems are substantially equal for the light emitting point groups, the imaging optical systems includes a first lens array, a second lens array, and apertures, central points of the light emitting point group exist in a first plane, central points of the imaging lenses exist in a second plane, central points of the apertures exist in a third plane, central points of the imaging lenses exist in a fourth plane, the first plane forms a non-zero predetermined angle with respect to a plane perpendicular to an optical axis direction, and the angle formed with respect to the plane perpendicular to the optical axis direction is greater in the order of the first, second, third, and the fourth plane.

An exposure apparatus includes: a substrate that, extends in a longitudinal direction intersecting with a gravity direction and has light emitting elements emitting light, toward a gravity direction; a housing that extends in the longitudinal direction, to which the substrate is attached; a support section that supports both end side portions of the housing in the longitudinal direction against gravity; and a structure section having a weight that is attached to an intermediate portion of the housing in the longitudinal direction and supported by the support section in the gravity direction.

In accordance with an embodiment, a print head includes a first light emitting element line and a second light emitting element line. The first light emitting element line and the second light emitting element line each include a plurality of light emitting elements that emit light on the basis of image data. The plurality of light emitting elements of the second light emitting element line are arranged deviated from the plurality of light emitting elements of the first light emitting element line by a certain interval in a main scanning direction.

A light-emitting device includes a base that extends in one direction; a light-emitting unit in which multiple light sources that are disposed in the one direction are supported by a supporting body that extends in the one direction and that is formed from a metal block; a spacer that is interposed between the base and the light-emitting unit in a direction of an optical axis of each light source; and a fixing unit that fixes the light-emitting unit to the base in a mode in which a compressive load is applied to the spacer.

A light-emitting element includes, on a substrate, a shift thyristor and a light-emitting thyristor. The shift thyristor and the light-emitting thyristor each include a semiconductor multilayer structure consisting of first to fourth semiconductor layers stacked with alternating conductivity types. The shift thyristor includes a current diffusion layer in contact with the semiconductor multilayer structure, and a first metal electrode in this order, or the first metal electrode which is in contact with the semiconductor multilayer structure on the semiconductor multilayer structure; and wherein in the shift thyristor, a region in which a region in which the current diffusion layer or the first metal electrode and the semiconductor multilayer structure come into contact with each other is projected in a stacked direction of the semiconductor multilayer structure is included in a region in which the first metal electrode is projected in the stacked direction.

An image forming apparatus includes a first light source, a second light source, an optical sensor, a storage, and a hardware processor that controls operation of the image forming apparatus, wherein the first wavelength and the second wavelength have a wavelength having a high correlation between the transmittance and the basis weight, compared with those at other wavelengths, and the hardware processor calculates a first transmittance from the amount of the first emission light and the amount of the first transmission light, calculates a second transmittance from the amount of the second emission light and the amount of the second transmission light, derives a first basis weight corresponding to the first transmittance, derives a second basis weight corresponding to the second transmittance, and derives a first average basis weight obtained by averaging the first basis weight and the second basis weight.
