A dust removal device for continuous paper improves operability and usability for a user. The continuous paper is continuously supplied in a rightward direction, then through guide rollers, the direction of the continuous paper is reversed leftward. A downward front surface of the continuous paper is cleaned with a first dust removal device. Further, a direction of the continuous paper is reversed with a guide roller rightward. A downward back surface of the continuous paper is cleaned with a second dust removal device, and is guided to the downstream side. The two dust removal devices are provided in a vertical positional relationship in space. Dust removed with a dust removing member falls to a dust receiving member and is stored in the dust receiving member. It is possible to easily dispose the dust by pulling out the dust removal device from a cleaning position to an outside detachment position.

A first transport unit transports, along a first path, a sheet transported from an image forming unit. A second transport unit transports the sheet along a second transport path branched from a junction with the first transport path. A first cover, when open, holds the sheet transported to an exterior of a housing and, when closed, partially constitutes the second transport unit. A flap is disposed at the junction and, when at a first position, blocks the second transport path and guides the sheet along the first transport path and, when at a second position, blocks the first transport path and guides the sheet along the second transport path. A drive unit moves the flap between the first position and the second position. A moving mechanism moves away from the flap in response to closing of the first cover, and pushes and moves the flap to the second position.

The non-actual-printing process is a process of conveying the sheet to the fuser without transferring the developer image onto the first surface of the sheet. The actual-printing process is a process of transferring the developer image onto the second surface of the sheet.

OPENING/CLOSING UNIT AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS INCLUDING THE SAME

Provided is an opening/closing unit including a cover member and a conveying unit. The cover member is provided to one side surface of an apparatus main body so as to open and close a sheet conveying path. The conveying unit is provided inside of the cover member in the apparatus main body. The sheet conveying path includes a first conveying path formed between the conveying unit and the apparatus main body, and a second conveying path formed between the conveying unit and the cover member. When an operating lever of the cover member is rotated to a second position, opening operation of the cover member is enabled. When the operating lever is rotated to a first position in a state where the cover member is opened, the conveying unit rotates with respect to the cover member so that the second conveying path is opened.

The controller is configured to supply a plurality of first kind of sheets by the supply roller at a first interval when the plurality of first kind of sheets are sequentially conveyed and supply a plurality of second kind of sheets by the supply roller at a second interval greater than the first interval when the plurality of second kind of sheets belonging to a kind in which curl occurs more frequently than the plurality of first kind of sheets are sequentially conveyed.
