Feed path switching member for an image forming apparatus to guide a recording medium to a first or second feed path connecting a fixing unit and a feed roller of an inkjet image forming unit
An image forming apparatus employing an electrophotographic image forming unit and an inkjet image forming unit, thereby being capable of printing an image on each of a front surface and the back surface of a recording medium.
Image processing apparatus and image processing method
An image processing apparatus includes an image reading unit that reads an image of an original document, an image processing unit that processes image data of the image read by the image reading unit, and a suspension unit that suspends, if a predetermined pattern has been detected from the image read by the image reading unit, the image processing unit in an operation of processing the image data until the original document is removed from the image reading unit.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
The image forming apparatus includes a main body, a pick-up device to pick up a printing medium, a developing device to develop an image on a side of the printing medium picked up by the pick-up device, a fixing device to fix the image developed on the side of the printing medium, a paper reverse device to guide the printing medium from a transfer direction of the printing medium passing through the fixing device, through a reverse path to the developing device and the fixing device, to develop and fix another image on other side of the printing medium, a discharging device to discharge the printing medium outside the main body, a post-processing device provided in the main body, and a post-processing path selection device rotatable to a first position to guide the printing medium through a discharge path to guide the printing medium passing through the fixing device to the discharging device and a second position to guide the printing medium from the discharge path to a post-processing path branched from the discharge path, to guide the printing medium to the post-processing device.
Image forming apparatus having correction of following image based on deformation of preceding recording medium
An image forming apparatus includes a conveying device, an image forming device, a reading device, and control circuitry. The conveying device sequentially conveys a plurality of successive recording media that includes a preceding recording medium and a following recording medium. The image forming device forms an image on each of a front surface and a back surface of the preceding recording medium conveyed. The reading device reads an outer shape of the preceding recording medium. The control circuitry calculates an amount of deformation of the preceding recording medium based on the outer shape of the preceding recording medium read. The control circuitry corrects at least one of a front image and a back image based on the amount of deformation calculated, to cause the image forming device to form the front image and the back image on a front surface and a back surface, respectively, of the following recording medium.
CLEANING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A cleaning device includes a separation and contact mechanism that separates a web from a conveyance roller and brings the web into contact with the conveyance roller, and a controller. The controller includes a conveyed sheet number determination unit and a separation and contact control unit. The conveyed sheet number determination unit monitors a conveyed sheet number of both-surface image forming sheets where image forming processing is applied to both a first surface and a second surface with respect to the sheets conveyed by the conveyance roller, and determines whether or not a cumulative value of the conveyed sheet number has reached a predetermined threshold value. The separation and contact control unit controls the separation and contact mechanism so as to allow the web to be pressed to the conveyance roller by a pressing roller when the cumulative value of the conveyed sheet number has reached the threshold value.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND METHOD
An image forming apparatus employing an electrophotographic image forming unit and an inkjet image forming unit, thereby being capable of printing an image on each of a front surface and the back surface of a recording medium,
IMAGE-FORMING APPARATUS AND IMAGE-FORMING
An image-forming apparatus contains a hardware processor for forming first and second reference marks on both surfaces of a first recording medium by using respective recorder. The first reference mark includes scale marks indicating coordinates in a position range relative to a first image-forming area, and the second reference mark includes an indicator indicating a position relative to a second image-forming area. The indicator is formed in a position indicating the relative position range as seen from a direction perpendicular to the surface of the recording medium. The hardware processor is also for implementing settings for adjusting the recording action of the recorder so that positional misalignment of the first and second image-forming areas diminishes based on coordinates inputted by an input section and indicated by the indicator. The hardware processor causes respective adjusted ordinary images to be formed on both surfaces of a second recording medium by the recorder.

DUST REMOVAL DEVICE AND PRINTER
A dust removal device for continuous paper improves operability and usability for a user. The continuous paper is continuously supplied in a rightward direction, then through guide rollers, the direction of the continuous paper is reversed leftward. A downward front surface of the continuous paper is cleaned with a first dust removal device. Further, a direction of the continuous paper is reversed with a guide roller rightward. A downward back surface of the continuous paper is cleaned with a second dust removal device, and is guided to the downstream side. The two dust removal devices are provided in a vertical positional relationship in space. Dust removed with a dust removing member falls to a dust receiving member and is stored in the dust receiving member. It is possible to easily dispose the dust by pulling out the dust removal device from a cleaning position to an outside detachment position.
