An information processing apparatus includes an obtaining unit configured to obtain information about a drum unit from an image forming apparatus configured to form an image on a sheet using the drum unit, and a notification unit configured to provide a notification, in a case where it is detected that the drum unit has been replaced with a new one based on the information obtained by the obtaining unit, indicating that a calibration is required.

The controller receives a second designation, by the user, of a superimposition position at which an abnormality region containing an abnormality is superimposed on the desired image. The controller transmits user designation information indicating the designation region and the superimposition position to an external device.

A method for display control is provided. The method includes obtaining information of a remaining amount display color displaying a remaining amount of a consumable supply, obtaining the information of a background color in a displaying area displaying the remaining amount of the consumable supply, and changing a display content in the displaying area on the basis of the remaining amount display color and the background color.

An image forming apparatus includes a controller that displays a first screen on a touch screen. The screen has selectable regions including a first display area and a second display area. The first display area is in a selected state when the first screen is initially displayed. The controller outputs audio data indicating the first display area is in the selected state. The controller receives a first user operation on the touch screen displaying the first screen to change the second display area to the selected display state and then outputs audio data indicating the second display area is in the selected state. An image forming apparatus includes at least one or more rotary members, a motor configured to drive the at least one or more rotary members, a detection unit configured to detect a current value flowing in the motor, and a display unit configured to display information on a state of the at least one or more rotary members. The current value is detected by the detection unit while the at least one or more rotary members are being driven by the motor. When the current value is a first value, information indicating that the at least one or more rotary members are in an abnormal state is not displayed on the display unit. When the current value is a second value larger than the first value, information indicating that the at least one or more rotary members are in the abnormal state is displayed on the display unit.

There is a need to provide an image generator and an image generation method capable of avoiding wasting a normal printed matter if any in sheets of paper output after an occurrence of waste paper. When paper contains an abnormal image, the paper is detected as waste paper based on a read result from an image read sensor. Detection of the waste paper allows an image generator to perform reprint from a print job for the waste paper. Normal-image paper may be contained in sheets of paper output between detection of the waste paper and the reprint to be performed. In this case, the normal-image paper is used as a normal printed matter and is avoided from being consumed wastefully.
