The image forming device includes a controller, an image forming processor, and an authenticator. The controller is configured to acquire image information, the image information including an input image to be formed on a sheet and applying information associated with each copy, in response to the input image being formed. The controller is configured to generate a composite image obtained by applying an applying image based on the applying information for each copy to the input image. The image forming processor is configured to form the composite image generated for each copy on the sheet of each copy. The authenticator is configured to authenticate a user based on a user identity.

An information processing apparatus which is capable of reliably switching display languages in response to depression of a language switching button. A display language on a display unit is switched to a language selected by a user from a list of languages displayed on the display unit. In response to selection of a language switching button by the user, the display language on the display unit is switched to one of a plurality of languages associated with the language switching button. Currently-displayed language information indicating a language currently displayed on the display unit is obtained when the language switching button is selected by the user. When the language switching button is selected by the user, the display language on the display unit is switched to one of the plurality of languages associated with the language switching button and different from a language currently displayed on the display unit.

A control apparatus to control a system including an image forming apparatus and a sheet discharge apparatus. The control apparatus receives configuration information of the system, and discharge state information having a discharge destination and a stacking amount of sheets discharged by the sheet discharge apparatus, and job identification information of an image forming job of sheets to be picked up. The control apparatus generates a system configuration image based on the configuration information, generates a sheet bundle image based on the discharge state information, combines the sheet bundle image with the system configuration image based on the discharge destination, and displays them as combined. The sheet bundle image is displayed with a size corresponding to the stacking amount and a first sheet bundle image, which corresponds to the job identification information, and a second sheet bundle image, which does not correspond to the job identification information, are distinguishably displayed.

An image display apparatus includes a display section that displays an image provided on an apparatus main body, a detection section that detects a location of a user with respect to the apparatus main body, and a change section that changes an image to be displayed on the display section from an image for a first location to an image for a second location, the image for the first location and the image for the second location being images having an identical attribute, in a case where the location of the user, which is detected by the detection section, is changed from the first location to the second location.

A recording material transport device includes a transport unit that transports a recording material to a succeeding apparatus that follows the recording material transport device; and a notification unit that, in a case where transport of the recording material by the transport unit has been stopped, gives a notification prompting a user to take an action for reducing occurrence of a trouble resulting from a state where the recording material that has been stopped has already reached the succeeding apparatus.

According to one embodiment, there is provided an image forming apparatus including a derivation unit that derives remaining amount information on a remaining amount of a recording agent in a recording agent cartridge based on a physical quantity acquired by an operation acquisition unit, characteristic information acquired by a characteristic acquisition unit, and a recording agent amount acquired by a recording agent amount acquisition unit.
