IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an image former, an informing unit, and a hardware processor. The image former prints an image on continuous paper by: forming an electrostatic latent image on an image holder based on image information of a job; developing the electrostatic latent image with toner, thereby forming a toner image on the image holder; and transferring the toner image onto the continuous paper. Based on the image information of the job, the hardware processor calculates a coverage of the image to be printed on the continuous paper. Based on the calculated coverage, the hardware processor determines a continuously printable distance on the continuous paper. The hardware processor causes the informing unit to inform a user of the continuously printable distance before the image former starts the printing.

An image forming apparatus is capable of setting a plurality of limiting conditions for each user. The image forming apparatus includes a hard disk drive (HDD) that stores a limiting condition set for each user, a touch panel that accepts input of an instruction from a user, a central processing unit (CPU) that determines whether a limiting condition is stored in the HDD in association with the user in response to the instruction from the user, and a display panel that displays limit information indicating details about limitation corresponding to the limiting condition in response to the CPU determining that the limiting condition is stored in the HDD.

An information processing apparatus can communicate with an image forming apparatus that forms an image on a sheet. The information processing apparatus includes: an acquisition unit configured to acquire error information about an error that has occurred in the image forming apparatus, and maintenance information about maintenance work performed on the image forming apparatus; a memory configured to store a plurality of pieces of error information acquired by the acquisition unit; and a controller. The controller is configured to: determine, from the plurality of pieces of error information stored in the memory, based on the maintenance information, first error information about an error that has occurred during the maintenance work; and determine an error part of the image forming apparatus based on second error information obtained by excluding the first error information from the plurality of pieces of error information stored in the memory.
