An image forming apparatus including a scanner to execute a scan operation to read an image from a document medium; a printer to execute a print operation to form the image read by the scanner unit onto a print medium; a discharger to discharge the print medium output from the printer unit; and a detector to detect whether the discharger is in a discharge-possible state. Further, there is determination circuitry configured to determine whether the image on the document medium is readable and control circuitry configured to control the scanner and the printer. When the determination circuitry determines that the image is readable and the detection circuitry indicates that the discharger is in the discharge-possible state, there is a display of a screen prompting the user to select whether to execute the print operation.

An image forming device includes a main body including an image former, a storage that stores a setting related to whether a predetermined load operation of the image former is to be set to a permitted state or a suppressed state, a cover provided at the main body in an openable and closable manner, a cover opening/closing sensor that detects an open/closed state of the cover, and a controller that controls the image former and the cover opening/closing sensor. The controller sets an initial state of the load operation to the permitted state in which the load operation is to be permitted, and when the cover opening/closing sensor detects that the cover is changed from being open to being closed, the controller switches the load operation to the suppressed state.

A printing system includes a processor that, by execution of a program, operates as an output control unit for outputting a sheet on which a charge removal processing is performed at a first charge removal bias value, a display control unit for displaying a screen indicating the first charge removal bias value and receiving an operation, and a storage control unit for storing the first charge removal bias value as a sheet parameter in response to receiving an operation indicating that the first charge removal bias value is approved, wherein a sheet on which the charge removal processing is performed at a second charge removal bias value different from the first charge removal bias value is output in response to receiving an operation indicating that the first charge removal bias value is not approved.

An image forming apparatus includes: a detachable fuser; and a cooling controller that starts a cooling mode for cooling the fuser, and stops the cooling mode when a cooling completion condition selected by a user is satisfied.

An image processing apparatus that is capable of performing report printing in a language desired by a user in either manual report printing or autonomic report printing. A storage unit stores information on the image processing apparatus. A touch panel receives input from a log-in user A control unit controls execution of the automatic report printing in which the information is printed by the printing unit as a report when predetermined conditions are satisfied, and execution of the manual report printing in which the information is printed by the printing unit as a report based on an instruction from the log-in user. The control unit performs the automatic report printing in a predetermined language and performs the manual report printing in a language for the log-in user.

An image forming apparatus includes: a toner image former that forms a toner image on paper based on image information; a fixer that includes at least a pair of rollers and fixes the toner image formed on the paper at a pressure contact portion formed by the pair of rollers; an adjuster that adjusts a pressure contact force in the pressure contact portion according to a paper type; and one or more controllers that control execution of a job related to image formation via the fixer. The one or more controllers provide, to a user, a notification prompting the user to confirm the paper type of the paper being fed in a case where the paper type set for the execution of the job differs from the paper type of the fed paper.

An image forming apparatus includes an image bearing member, an image former configured to form an image on the image bearing member, a transfer unit configured to transfer, onto a recording material, the image formed on the image bearing member, a conveyor configured to convey the recording material to the transfer unit, a contact member which is provided upstream of the transfer unit in a conveyance direction of the recording material, and which is configured to ground the recording material being conveyed to the transfer unit, and a controller configured to form an image on the recording material by controlling the image former to form the image on the image bearing member, and controlling the transfer unit to transfer the image from the image bearing member onto the recording material.

An image forming apparatus for forming a toner image on a sheet subjected to perforation processing, wherein the sheet includes a projected portion generated at a periphery of a hole formed by the perforation processing, the image forming includes a stacking potion on which the sheet is stacked, a feeding path along which the sheet stacked on the stacking portion is fed, an image forming unit configured to form the toner image on an image bearing member, a transfer unit configured to transfer the toner image from the image bearing member onto the sheet fed to the feeding path, and a display configured to display guidance on a placing direction of the sheet depending on a surface where the projected portion of the sheet to be placed on the stacking portion is generated.

An image forming apparatus includes an image former, a plurality of trays, a paper size setter, a display, and one or more controllers. The image former forms an image on paper by heating and fixing a toner onto the paper using a replaceable fixing unit detachably mounted therein. The image former includes a fixing unit detector. Upon the fixing unit detector detecting mounting of the fixing unit, the controller acquires a paper width that is manageable for printing by the fixing unit and compares the acquired paper width with paper sizes of paper contained in the plurality of trays received by the paper size setter. If at least one of the plurality of trays contains paper of a paper size that is not suitable for printing by the fixing unit, the controller causes the display to display a message or an indication indicating this issue.

An image forming apparatus displays information about the image forming apparatus on a display unit, the display includes a predetermined screen including at least one of pieces of information about consumables for the image forming apparatus and at least one of pieces of information about environmental burden based on a job executed by the image forming apparatus.
