PREPARATION OPERATION FOR IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus performs a first preparation operation in a full color mode when power is supplied. The apparatus performs, when an image formation request is inputted after the first preparation operation completes, a second preparation operation in a designated color mode in accordance with the image formation request. When an image formation request is inputted during the first preparation operation, the apparatus skips the second preparation operation and performs image formation after the first preparation operation completes.
Method of detecting image defects and reprinting defective images, image forming apparatus, implementing the method, and storage medium
An image forming apparatus includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry receives a timing selected for re-forming an image and re-forms the image determined to be defective based on information about the image formed on a first conveyance medium, on a second conveyance medium at the selected timing.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A generation unit configured to receive image data and to generate print data from received image data; a printing control unit configured to form an image on a sheet based on print data generated by the generation unit; a determination unit configured to determine whether or not a delay in generation of the print data has occurred based on a data amount of the received image data and a data amount of print data generated by the generation unit; and an issuance unit configured to issue a command to insert an auxiliary pattern in a case where the determination unit determines that the delay has occurred are included.
PREDICTED PRINT MATERIAL USAGE ADJUSTMENT
The location of a printing device is determined. Environmental conditions in which the printing device operated when printing a print job are determined based on the determined location. An environmental adjustment factor for the printing device is determined based on the determined environmental conditions. A predicted print material usage of the printing device in printing the print job is adjusted based on the determined environmental adjustment factor.
IMAGE-FORMING APPARATUS WITH INTERRUPT PRINTING FUNCTION
Provided is an image-forming apparatus that prevents a drop in processing speed even when a preceding job is interrupted by a simple job (interrupt job). The image-forming apparatus includes a printer unit that prints on paper, a first transporting path that passes by the printer unit, a second transporting path that path branches off from the first transporting path and moves paper that has been turned over from front to back further upstream than the printer unit, a storage unit that stores a condition table indicates conditions for which a preceding job can be interrupted by an interrupt job, and a system-control unit that references the condition table, and when the preceding job can be interrupted, sets a printing order so that printing of the interrupt job is inserted into the printing order of the preceding job.
IMAGE FORMING DEVICE
Provided is an image processing apparatus to form an image on a sheet of paper, including a main body and a submodule detachably disposed on the main body. The main body includes an asynchronous serial bus and a master control unit. The submodule includes a slave control unit. An interactive asynchronous serial communication is performed between the master control unit and slave control unit. The master control unit includes a detection timing changing unit. The detection timing changing unit changes a scheduled timing to detect a second signal. The slave control unit includes a transmission signal changing unit. The transmission signal changing unit changes a state of the second signal from a first state detectable by the master control unit at a first timing to a second state detectable by the master control unit at a second timing.
PRINTING SYSTEM FOR CUT SHEETS COMPRISING A PAPER PATH WITH A LOOP
The present invention relates to a printing system for cut sheets, the printing system comprising a control unit for controlling the printing of image data on a plurality of sheets and scheduling the plurality of sheets in a printing order, the plurality of sheets having different media properties, and a paper path comprising a loop in order to enable printing on the plurality of sheets in an interweaving first and second pass in the loop, and a print engine for disposing marking material on the sheets according to the image data. The print system comprises a pattern recognition module for recognizing a repeating pattern in the plurality of sheets on the basis of the media properties of the sheets. The control unit is configured to determine the entrance time of each of the plurality of sheets for entering the loop in the paper path for the first pass and for the second pass while taking the repeating pattern recognized by the pattern recognition module and a length of the loop into account.
POWER CONTROL METHOD OF PRINTING APPARATUS
The printing apparatus according to the present invention includes: a printing unit configured to form an image on a printing medium by using a color material and to output the printing medium on which the image is formed; a printing control unit configured to control the printing unit and to store data relating to the printing unit; a power control unit configured to control supply of power to the printing unit and the printing control unit; and a main control unit connected with the printing control unit so as to be capable of communication, and in accordance with a predetermined request, the power control unit performs control so as to suspend supply of power to the printing unit, the main control unit starts acquisition of the data stored by the printing control unit, and the power control unit performs control so as to suspend supply of power to the printing control unit after the main control unit completes acquisition of the data.
NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM, PRINTING CONTROL METHOD,PRINTING CONTROL DEVICE, AND PRINTING SYSTEM
There is provided a printing control device. A setting unit sets a sorting priority mode that causes a printing device to perform printing using a recording sheet in which the difference from the recording sheet size designated by a current print job mounted on the printing device is within a predetermined range, in a case where a recording sheet with a same size as the recording sheet designated by the current print job is not mounted on the printing device, and a recording sheet which has a recording sheet size that is printable without reducing the printing range, and for which the difference from the size of the recording sheet designated by the current print job is within a predetermined range is mounted on the printing device in a sheet feed direction different from the sheet feed direction of the recording sheet of the previous print job.
Image forming system and image forming apparatus
An image forming system includes an image forming apparatus having an apparatus main body, a sheet feeding cassette, a manual bypass tray, an opening/closing detection part and a sheet feeding source setting part. The apparatus main body has an input part to which a printing instruction is input. The manual bypass tray is displaced into an open posture and into a close posture. The sheet feeding source setting part sets the sheet feeding cassette or the manual bypass tray as a sheet feeding source. When the opening/closing detection part detects that the manual bypass tray is displaced from the close posture to the open posture and the printing instruction is input to the input part, regardless of the sheet feeding source input to the input part, the sheet feeding source setting part sets the manual bypass tray as the sheet feeding source.
