An image forming apparatus includes: an image former that forms an image on a continuous paper; a fixing unit that includes a pair of rotatable members and that nips the continuous paper between the rotatable members to convey the paper and fix the image formed on the paper by the image former; a conveying member different from the rotatable members; and a hardware processor. The image forming apparatus performs a paper conveying mode in which the image former does not form an image and at least the conveying member conveys the continuous paper. In the paper conveying mode, the hardware processor determines to press the rotatable members against each other or to separate the rotatable members from each other according to a predetermined criterion and, based on the determination, conveys the continuous paper while keeping the rotatable members pressed against each other or separated from each other.

A printing device includes a first ejector that ejects a recording medium to an exterior, a second ejector that enhances a rigidity of the recording medium more than by the first ejector, and ejects the recording medium to the exterior, and an ejector selector that selects either the first ejector or the second ejector.

An image forming device includes: a paper feeding unit configured to feed continuous form paper; an image forming unit configured to form an image on the continuous form paper; a fixing unit configured to fix the image formed on the continuous form paper; a measuring unit configured to measure a temperature of the fixing unit; and a control unit configured to control an operation of each of the paper feeding unit, the image forming unit, and the fixing unit, wherein when detecting a trouble with which feeding of the continuous form paper is suspended, the control unit performs determination processing of determining whether to prompt a user to execute removal of a part of the continuous form paper, which part is influenced by heat from the fixing unit, according to the temperature of the fixing unit which temperature is measured by the measuring unit in the detection of the trouble.

An image forming apparatus includes a forming part that forms an image on a ribbon-like medium that is being transported; and a fixing part disposed downstream of the forming part in a medium transport direction, the fixing part including multiple fixing members, which are arranged in the transport direction and fix the image to the medium by applying heat and pressure to the medium. An upstream-downstream tension difference, in the medium transport direction, of the fixing member located on the most upstream side in the transport direction is greater than those of the other fixing members in the medium transport direction.

A print control apparatus includes an analyzing unit, an obtaining unit, and a controller. The analyzing unit analyzes a total number of pages of received print data. An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming unit configured to form an image on a recording medium which is unwound from a state of being wound in a roll shape; and a control unit configured to change an image forming condition of the image forming unit such that image quality becomes uniform before and after an unwinding start position of the recording medium at the time of start of an image forming operation.

An image forming apparatus that forms developer images on a continuous medium includes a control part that performs a developer image forming on an intermediate transfer body with an interval; a transfer part that transfers developer images to the continuous medium; an interval detection part that detects the interval of positions to which the developer images; and an interval information memory that stores interval information of the interval. An image forming apparatus includes: a transfer unit that faces an image holding unit and is configured to come into contact with and separate from the image holding unit with a continuous form paper continuous in a transport direction interposed between the transfer unit and the image holding unit and to transfer an image held by the image holding unit onto the continuous form paper; a displacement unit that displaces the continuous form paper to a position closer to the image holding unit when the transfer unit separates from the image holding unit; and a contact portion that contacts the continuous form paper from a downstream side in a displacement direction before the continuous form paper displaced by the displacement unit contacts the image holding unit.
